Enchanted with Bo Bunny

We received the new Bo Bunny Enchanted range on Friday and I got straight to work creating to show you all that whilst it is a "Love" themed paper collection, it is certainly adaptable to any layout

In the words of our Jess .... Think it's just for lovey dovey layout's?? NAY to that I say! I'm going to funk it up....add a POP of colour and do a coolio Elijah layout with it : )

LOL Jess

Here are a few pieces from the collection

And so this is what I have so far created with the paper range
I am currently working on an OTP using this paper range for a birthday present, and will share when it is finished.

Starting off with a boys layout

Love the Tim Holtz Tab File Die which I placed behind the photo for a side border and also to use for part of my tile

To add more colour to the layout I used my ink blending tool and Tim Holtz Pine Needles Distress Ink to random areas on the edges

and a girlie layout

Cluster of our flowers with an Idea-Ology Ornate plates.  I softened the colour of the plate with a dab of Picket Fence Distress Stains

I removed the love key from our Pink and Silver Love Key charming chain and replaced it with one of our sunglasses charms

Sprinkled the top corner with pink rhinestones and 2cm pink roses
Also a spray of pink glimmer mist

I hope you will consider Enchanted for your next layouts, it is gorgeous with its glitter accents and like I have shown, so versatile for any layout

May you always Dance in Sunshine

 Hey Ladies – Ngaire here
and I’m back with another of Tracy’s gorgeous Charming Chains
They are all so stunning it is hard to pick a favourie!
This pretty purple one though is Madame's favourite – but then she hasn’t seen the one I am playing with now, so that could soon change. The purple is a perfect match for some Glitz Design papers I just got my hands on - the Dance in Sunshine range - so I stole one when she wasn't looking :) - yeah ok, there was more begging and pleading involved - but I got it.

Just love the way the purple and yellow combine together - so bright and cheerful. I've used a number of Antique Bronze items from my2angels on this layout - all keeping with the butterfly theme used on the Charming Chain.
The main alphas in the title are (surprise, surprise) my favourite ones – Scrapware Antique Lowercase – both the normal size and the minis. This time I've used Mustard Seed Distress Ink to colour them and then a light spray of Sunflower Sparkle Perfect Pearls Mists to give them a nice shimmer.

On my tag I used an Antique Bronze Butterfly Clip and the dangle pearl from the Charming Chain, together with some  flowers from my stash. The rubon is from Kaiser - who REALLY need to do something about their shocking quality control. I've actually Photoshopped the tag image a bit to fix up how poorly the rubon has transferred. At some point I will either have to remove it and buy another to replace it or suck it up and learn to live with it.

Down the bottom of the layout I have used an antique bronze Tim Holtz Ornate Platetogether with an Adage Ticket (oos) to pop the word SOAR into a cluster of Prima flowers. Attached to the book plate is one of Tracy's beautiful antique bronze Filigree Butterflies.

Also tucked into that flower cluster you can see a small glass bottle - it's from my stash, but Tracy has some vial bottles, which are very similar and can be used as embellishments like mine.
So grab a charming chain whilst you can - they look great on cards. tags and layouts

Is it Christmas today mum?

Sooooooo as we all know, it's getting to that time of the year again.....CHRISTMAS!!! And yes I have a Christmassy layout to share with you.....

Instead of doing a layout with a photo from Christmas day I decided to use a cute non-chrissy photo and scrap about how excited Elijah is about Christmas this year.

This year he is finally old enough to kinda understand what it's all about. He's thrilled to bit's at the idea of Santa coming to deliver him pressies. Every morning he asks "Is it Christmas today mum?" lol

I've been playing with the GORGEOUS Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas collection pack.
I reallllllllly love this collection.....it's jam packed with so much goodness, LOVE the houndstooth print thats carried on throughout the collection.....gives it a cool edge.

Tracy has been making all sorts of GORGEOUS chains. She puts in so much time and effort making the most fab embellishments!
I was lucky enough to be sent a few and on this layout I have used the Merry Christmas 2011 Charming Chain. Seriously go check out all her awesome creations HERE.

FABULOUS products used: ALL available at my2angels.
Paper,Stickers & Alphas: Simple Stories 25 days Of Christmas collection.
Felt Border: White Scalloped edge felt frame (which I cut a long side of to create a scalloped border).

What kind of Christmas layouts will you do this year???

Love and Peace xox

Creating with Charming Chains

Hi everyone
Cathy here with a layout ...

Classy and Fabulous

You girls should all know by now how much I love to mix ranges of pp's together and I knew as soon as I saw the Glitz Houndstooth, it would be the perfect background paper to go with the Authentique Uncommon Collection Unique pp which I hand cut and layered with foam tape, then added some stemmed flowers with a few rhinestones cut from the black rhinestone chain for flower centres.

I also added the gorgeous oval frame and double heart charms around the flower sprays.

The Scrapware lamp post was inked in grey and I lightly dabbed some Tim Holtz black soot ink over the top and added a couple of the new white pearls.  The little birdie was cut from the Echo Park sticker sheet.

To frame the photo I used the Glitz Polka, some corrugated card which I painted white and some black rhinestone chain.  I cut the Authentique word from the strip at the bottom of the paper and finished off with some of the stickers from the Glitz Titles stickers for my title and journaling.

Cheers
Cathy :)

Hi Ladies,

Ngaire here - and I have been having a ball the last few weeks, hiding out at Tracy’s place bossing her around, demanding one of this and one of that.

Prepare to be absolutely gobsmacked at her latest creations – a bit like Pringles or CC’s (Hmmm – are they still around?) you won’t be able to just stop at one. I don’t think she even had time to set this little beauty down before I snaffled it up – because it was just perfect for the Glitz Designs, Beautiful Dreamer layout I was playing with for her.

Love this paper range – why have you not all bought it out?? It is absolutely stunning. For this layout I have layered to my hearts content, starting with the Polka patterned paper as the base. This was given a good distressing with my Heidi Swapp Distressing tool. Over that went a slightly smaller piece of the lovely Damask paper, which was also distressed and then stitched to the base paper – with a small bit torn out on the right-hand side. I’ve then offset a piece of Polka (which I cut from my base sheet before stitching the Damask layer on) with a smaller rectangle of the Stripe paper, on which I used one of my Martha Stewart punches to give it a nice lace border. The final two layers are a piece of the newsprint reverse side of Polka and one of the Whatnots. That gave me a lovely set of contrasting layers to play with as my layout framework – the rest was straightforward fun playing with some lovely embellishments.

From my stash I pulled out some old  vines and a floral stem and mixed them up a bit to give me a nice floral cluster in the bottom corner of the layout.
I added one of Tracy’s gorgeous Large Antique Bronze Keys and a small antique bronze Love charm. A really cool thing about the key is that the spaces in the top of the key are actually meant for gems to be placed into them. I’ve subbed in some pearls – but they look great without anything in them too.

The alphas are my favourite ones – Scrapware Antique Lowercase – both the normal size and the minis. To get that distressed look to them you need to paint/ink them white first and then dry them with a heat gun. Then ink with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink (oos) and heat dry. This colour is almost the perfect shade for these papers – a slight touch of a Weathered Wood Distress Ink pad to the alphas (lightly – the ink will bead rather than spread out) then gives them the perfect match – they now have a slightly dirty, grungy look to them, just like the blue on the Polka paper. Heat dry again. Now to give them a bit more of a colour pop – add either some Tumbled Glass Stain or Re-Inker to a gob of Rock Candy Distress Stickles and mix it thoroughly. Apply to the alphas and dry with a heat gun again. Perfecto – it will be a bit blotchy with the heat gun drying (f you want a more thorough coverage just paint it on and leave to dry naturally) – but I love the look against the patterned papers.

I’ve done exactly the same thing with the flourish corners – this time using Worn Lipstick. As an added bonus – used without the glittery coating, Worn Lipstick is exactly the shade of soft pink that is in these papers. So you get two matching colours for the price of one with this ink.

Across the top of the layout I have added a Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (from my stash) as a garland. I embellished it with the matching hanging pearl that comes in the Charming Chains pack. I had to grovel a bit (ok – it was a lot actually – there might even have been some begging too) to get the extra ones from Tracy – but it was so worth it. I love the sense of whimsy it gives the layout. Another floral cluster – using up the rest of my vines - helps fill up some empty space underneath the garland.

Tucked away in the torn out corner is my journalling tag. The last of the flowers and a bit of the crinkled ribbon have been used to embellish it and tied on to the tag is Tracy’s stunning new Charming Chain. The blue pearls on this chain match the colour in the patterned paper perfectly. Yes mine is a little longer than yours will be (length does vary a bit, since they are hand-made) – but that is more because mine is a proto-type and I ran away with it before Tracy could do anything about it.

And here is the tag itself – with that stunning Charming Chain. The rubon on the tag is one by Kaiser and I put the journalling on the back.

So that’s me for this week. Check out the Charming Chains in the store now and get in to get some Beautiful Dreamer papers before I go back to restock my stash.

Charming Chains ... Christmas Release

Introducing our Christmas Charming Chains

(I am still playing around with a black and silver chain, to match the Simply Stories 25 Days of Christmas papers, so I can get motivated to finish the 2 layouts I started a few weeks back)

And introducing our little cute

my2angels Christmas Angels

(these angels are not an original idea, I saw the idea in a beading book and remembered Sandra W making something similar a few months back)

Not your colour combination for your Christmas theme this year?

Well let me know and I will make one to match .. just send me an email if you have my direct address (won't put it up here to prevent spammers) or via our website in the contact us section

Geli has been busy
here is what she has come up with ...

What?! Christmas cards already!

Yes, already. I made up 2 quick cards

You don’t always have to use Christmas papers for Christmas cards when you have gorgeous embellishments! I used some scraps in Christmas colours and the new chain embellishment with a felt heart (just stapled on):

and a bit of twine and a little sleigh charm. Done!

Here is the other one:

Red glitter ribbon, a Christmas bauble

some star flowers and a snowman charm is all it takes to make this look Christmassy!

and Jess, well poor Jess has a half completed layout on her table using our Christmas Chains but her back has decided not to play the game
here is an insert from her email I received earlier today ....

Can't do much with my back like it is.....trying to stretch it out a bit.....but apart from that am moving around like a bloomin 90 year old Nanna.....need to put a blue rinse in my hair, get a lap dog and start knitting.....

GET BETTER SOON JESS

I won't mention how many more sleeps to go till Christmas ... too frightening!

So instead .. Happy Creating and hope you are having a great week
