OTP Replica of a new House

Hopefully if the scheduling works on blogger this is being posted while I am on my way to Scraphappy Kats retreat down in Melbourne where I am teaching a class tonight - woo hoo can't wait ... get to meet Lexie, Kathie (of course) and some of the girls from the Top 50.

Kathie, is such a gorgeous lady and when I found out she had just brought a new house I couldn't resist creating a replica of her new house using the Scrapware 3D house

Her new house

and my version

Had so much fun making it except the wire gate and rose bushes took its toll - I ended up buying some plastic trees from the toy shop for the bushes and coating them in Brown Puff Embossing Powder - not very happy with them but after trying 4 different ways to create them I gave up (:

Lots of Tim Holtz embossing powder, puff powder and ink happening here and yah for his Sizzix Texture Brick Embossing Folder perfect for the front of the house!

Just a few close ups

and something else I have been working on ... as I am typing this in advance (I am praying I get it finished in time to take with me)
a snippet of my muslin flowers edging a new bigger suitcase

Spraying the Muslin with Rose Tea Glimmer Mist - perfect colour to match the Graphic 45 Le Romantique Paper Range.
Centring them with our new stamens (only 45c for 20) and pieces of our Gold Flower Chain

Hope you have a happy and creative weekend

Will be back on Saturday night or Sunday to announce the blog hopping winners

PS Have you checked out our New Arrivals today? We have been shopping (and still going LOL)

Blog Hop finishes midnight 26th August and winners announce here on Sunday 29th

Here is an example of what you can win ...

and starting with me here is my card:

Using Brownie core ordinations cardstock cutting it 15cm wide x 30cm and folding at 3cm, 6cm 9cm and 12cm to give the 3d dimension. The stand at the back is approximately 16cm fold in half.

I used the Websters Pages Garden Gala Party Lights pattern paper

For the front piece I have brown cotton ric rac,
our dark pink fabric braids but sprayed the coffee shop glimmer mist to take away the white, giving it a more softer colour to match the cream and browns
and our friends charm tied to our small white journaling tags which has been sprayed with coffee shop glimmer mist

Middle piece has our lizard charm amongst hand cut pieces from the pattern paper, brown ric rac and our forest green mulberry flowers and green brown and rose mulberry leaves tucked in behind the pp

I also have this card to share which can also be used as an invitation using doilies sprayed with Pink Taffy Glimmer Mist and a piece of cardstock which slides out to reveal birthday wishes

or the party invite

Close of our lollipop charms and lollies I made using the Imaginisce Sweet Cheri pattern paper. These were just thin strips of paper, applying double side tape then rolling them.
I added a drop of dimensional magic on the ends and clamped to secure them

Don't leave a comment here until you have finished the blog hop then come back here to leave a comment so we know you are finished

Next angel's stop is Corrina

have fun and thanks for stopping by!

Teresa Collins, Tim Holtz and our Sale

Not long to go before the sale ends over at my2angels so get in now to grab those bargins before the prices revert back to our normal (but still cheap) prices!

We have had some new arrivals this week which you can find here

To be honest I had trouble deciding which new papers to use first! Teresa Collins or TPC or maybe a boys layout with the new Carolee Creations Racing Car theme papers!

Teresa and TPC won (save Carolee for another day!)

Teresa Collins Travel Ledger Collection is a thick textured paper (note to Ann Lavin - great for ripping and I would suggest wetting it a little first because as I said it is a thick paper).

And so being a good thick paper it it perfect to use on my carry case to store all my Tim Holtz products in (Speaking of Tim the next shipment of his products will arrive in the first week of September, which includes Perfect Pearls as requested! His new stamps are not yet available for me to purchase from the supplier arrrhh)

So the base was Teresa Collins Travel Ledger Collection papers, and all edges where inked with Black Soot and Vintage Photo then using my blending tool to give it an worn aged effect (restock of the tool will be in the order I mentioned above!)

On the top includes our Eiffel Tower Charm, Fleur de Lis charm tied to a chipboard key cut from Tim's Alterations Hardware Findings Sizzix Die Cut and painted with Black Soot Distress Crackle Paint . The holes where the string has gone through is cover with our Spacer Beads. To create the circles I used Gold Liquid Pearls

To get the large letters for inks I used Word Art, printed it out and used as a template. They are inked with Vintage Photo.

Scrapware butterflies were inked first and covered in Rangers Embossing Black Puff (I have found you need a really good inked surface when using the puffs) and the red butterfly is covered in Christmas Red Stickles with Tim's Trinket Pins.
The rest are various elements cut from the Teresa Collins Travel Ledger Collection papers

Chipboard letters covered in Distress Crackle Paint Vintage Photo, Cinnamon Stickles and our large brown wooden buttons - purposely leaving some of the black plant underneath exposed

Chipboard letters covered in Ruby Red Liquid Pearls

and the inside

(thanks DD for making a start on labeling everything) - this is the first time I have put everything into the case and oh bugger!!! i still have more to go in there LOL looks like I am back off to Spotlight to get another one or maybe two more suitcases

And here is my layout using the new Boho Blooms papers from TPC Studio collection. We got these papers in on Wednesday and have already sold half of them so another order has been placed and we expect it in sometime during next week - depending on quick Australia Post is!

The more expensive papers in this range has spot varnish on them highlighting specific areas

Handmade flowers out of muslin (purposely leaving the edges frayed) with random Baby Blue Liquid Pearls applied.
Large blue gardenia from the Nature Pack, Blue Canna Lillie with Stamens
For the Scrapware Lisa Flourish I sprayed with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist and while still wet cover with White Embossing Powder and Broken China Embossing Power. The Glimmer Mist doesn't completely hold all the powder which is the look I was after

Buzz and Bloom Chipboard letters covered in Baby Blue Liquid Pearls

TFL
I hope you all have a wonderfull weekend ... I am off to make a start on an eight page mini album that has to be completed by tomorrow night for a birthday party I am going to! Wish me luck!

Birthday Mini Album

Hi Keonie here my2angels Guest DT for this month ...

In line with my2angels 2nd birthday celebrations, this a little birthday album I did of my Daughter’s 3rd birthday using the Buzz and Bloom chip album, which unfortunately are no longer available but Tracy does have a few left of the other B&B albums in stock

I covered each page first in the October Afternoon Cherry Hill Tea Towel paper with the print side facing up. For the cover and back page I used Cosmo Cricket Hello Sunshine - Clover and then used the scraps from this throughout the inside pages. I also used the other Cosmo Cricket Hello Sunshine paper – Blowing Bubbles.
The chip balloons, cupcake and present were embossed in three different colours and whilst the powder was molten I embedded a few rhinestones to add some bling. The happy birthday title on the album cover was embossed with the super cool Ranger Puffs embossing powder. Pretty much everything that you see on this album comes from my2angels store so here is a list:

Piece of my2angels white butterfly and felt ribbon handing off the album rings

TFL
Oh and quicky before I go have you seen the new TPC Boho Bloom papers Tracy got in yesterday? Gorgeous!!!! I can't wait to get mine! You will find them in the new arrivals section
Have fun!
Keonie

Wow what a response

Wow we are amazed at the response to the scrapping relay and the amazing layouts from everyone completed in such a short space of time (unlike me who takes weeks to get a layout completed!) and over 100 hits each day on the blog during this week it certainly created some interest out there!

We are so happy with the outcome that we are already planning our next challenge :) LOL don't worry there won't be such a tight time limit on this one!

And it brought out the competitive and cheeky side in a few our DT girls as well LOL I see abit of friendly teasing happening over on facebook as well

We will be back either Sunday night or Monday to announce the winners OMG it is going to be tough for us to decide especially with the unique ways that the criteria was incorporated into the layouts

On another note I went blogging the other week to try and get inspired to make cupcakes and you know the same old story ... you lose two hours of your life and so many screens open that your computer is at crashing point ... on this particular day I discovered a blog from a lady over in America whose cottage was to die for OMG I WANT ONE!!! Just give me some plumbing and I will move in tomorrow

click here for her blog .... (and to think she did it all herself and only spent $3,000)

Oh and I never did get my cupcake layout done that day!

Have a fantastic and safe weekend
back soon with the winners
