My most boring OTP EVER!!!!

I don't think I need to explain much about why this OTP is boring
BUT IT HAD TO BE DONE!

Starting with a canvas I covered the sides with Brushed Pewter Distress Stain then Script Trendy Tape.

Scrapbooking Altered Canvas

The front of the canvas was given a couple of coats of Black Soot Distress Paint.

The letters are old chipboard letter (HAD TO BE LARGE ONE and if I could have put flashing lights and alarm bells on them I would have lol).  They were covered with Inkssentials Metal Foil Tape and added blotches of Black Soot Distress Paint (which BTW adhered really well)

Once I printed out the RULES, I glued them to scrap chipboard and edged the corners with our new Silver Photo Corners.  I added more blotches of Black Soot Distress Paint to give it a messy look.

Scrapbooking Altered Canvas

Desperately wanting to add more to it to embellish and prettify it BUT I needed to make my point, so it stayed "boring"!

To seal it, I painted Claudine Hellmuth Multi-Medium all over it.

And here it is ... my most boring but necessary OTP

If anyone would like a copy of these rules, let me know, I have saved it as a word document LOL

Sentimental Layout

Hi Everyone, Jennifer here with my latest layout.

I fell in love with these beautiful Framed Sentiment Embellishment that Tracy hand makes immediately and knew straight away how I wanted to use it and what photo to put with it!!

It's no secret that I love Washi Tape (or Wasabi Tape as Tracy affectionally refers to it :-P) and i was super excited when she got these in so of course - they had to go on the layout too!

All products are available from Tracy - if not already in stock, please make a request and she'll do her best to get them in for you :-)

Here's a list of current my2angels stocked items I used for this layout.

Grungy Boys layout with Geli

I just love the new grungy embellishments at my2angels.

Boys Scrapbooking Layout

Let me show you how easy it is to make a simple boy's layout look great.

Use a 5x7" photo and cut a 5x12" mat from patterned paper. Add some punched strips and both sides and adhere to the background.on the mat. Glue the photo on. Tuck some printed acetate under (or stamp some grungy designs) in the top left and near the bottom right corner.

Choose one of the Grunge Charming Dates (there are 5 to choose from and they all look awesome) and glue it in the top left corner. Add the date.
Boys Scrapbooking Layout

Cut and fold a star shaped rosette (I used a die for that) and glue a Grunge Love You to Infinity Key in the middle. The hard work is all done for you - there are little cogs, hearts and a key and other small bits and pieces!

Boys Scrapbooking Layout

Glue the chain with the "Love you to infinity" in place.

Boys Scrapbooking Layout

Now, all you have left to do is a title (I used ready-made chipboard flags strung on some baker's twine) and you are already done!
Super quick scrapping at it's best.

my2angels 2013 Christmas OTP Class

“Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…”

Ok – so it’s not quite the night before, (in fact, not even the month) but you DO need to get in early for this year’s special Xmas OTP Class “The Night Before Xmas”.

Last year’s OTP class sold out for all 4 sessions and we guarantee you that this year’s class will sell out too. With December such a busy time – and because we know you will want to show off your OTP this Christmas – we have 3 dates for you to choose from.

That way you can book in for the date that suits you best and it also allows those who need to pay off the class in instalments to still attend.

So grab your friends and book in together for a great time.

To secure your place in our highly regarded Xmas OTP class, you need to make an initial booking deposit of $50 (or $25 in two instalments for those needing to spread the payment out). The final payment of $35 is due on the day of the class.  Alternatively, you can pay all at once.

So what will you get for your class?

A timber based scene, so as to ensure that your OTP will last for many years to come.

Personalised stockings to hang from the mantelpiece.

Family portraits to hang from your wall – making it realistic and personalised. (Photos need to be emailed to me for reduction and framing before the class)

An adorable Christmas tree – decorated and with presents.

A Santa corner – complete with chair, table, cookies, milk and carrots for the reindeer.
And if you send me your own ‘Dear Santa’ letter, it will be reduced in size to leave beside the glass of milk for Santa to read.

Christmas Scrapbooking OTP

You have the choice of a Traditional Christmas Setting,
or Silver and your choice of colour eg Silver and Teal, Silver and Purple etc etc

The Class price of $85 includes all materials,
morning and afternoon tea; a fresh Subway lunch;
and an endless supply of coffee, tea and orange juice.
The pleasant company, laughter and fun are all free. ;)

What do you need to bring - just your basic tool kit and adhesives.
We will supply the rest

Details to book are here

'Twas the night before Christmas ... Sneak Peak Four

Christmas Eve is a very busy and tiring night for Santa!

A nice comfy chair with cookies and milk are a must for him,
plus a carrot or two for his reindeers

Cheers :)

Hi everyone, it's Geli. I'm back!

My Hannah is passionate about cheerleading and her team won the latest competition. I'm so proud of her! Here is a layout to celebrate her latest victory:

Cheerleading Scrapbooking Layout

Do you hoard pretty paper? I do. This one (by Heidi Swapp) has been in my stash way too long. There were a few pink bits, which I painted white with gesso, cause they wouldn't match the black and yellow colour scheme. The shield shape was outlined with a black rhinestone chain. That was easy, I just glued it down 10cm at the time. Still, the paper looked a bit bland, so the middle got a bit of a black wash. (simply outline the position of the photo and go crazy with paint and water):

Cheerleading Scrapbooking Layout

It didn't look that great at this point, but once the photo went on top and one side of a black felt frame was attached, things were starting to look pretty cool.
Cheerleading Scrapbooking Layout

Have you seen the new framed sentiments? I wanted to write on the banner and while digging through my letter stickers I discovered some old rub-ons from prehistory. I managed to almost find enough letters for "cheer", but had to fake the "h" with a "q"

.
Cheerleading Scrapbooking Layout

At this point I realised that I could either give the archeologist of 3013 something to dig up or use those letters up! (I have other cool ideas for grave goods to puzzle future generations) In other words, using them to frame the photo seemed like a good way to put them to use.

Cheerleading Scrapbooking Layout

This pretty yellow frame comes with a pin too and there are lots of colours! Find them all here.

Have you taken advantage of the 5c sale at my2angels yet? Spend $5 and get something like this black felt ribbon for 5c!

Cheerleading Scrapbooking Layout

I cut some stars off and painted the inside with Ferro metal effect textured paint. This stuff is really cool, it has a gritty texture but keeps its metallic shine.
Then I added a crown charm (after all, they won!)...

The cheerleader's pom poms and the star flower are also painted with the same metal effect paint

Pretty cool that it sticks to metal!

Hannah loves her page and I hope I have given you some inspiration!

'Twas the night before Christmas ... Sneak Peak One

“Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there…”

That’s right – it’s almost time for the my2angels 2013 Christmas OTP Class.

Graphic 45 Mini-book

Hi everyone, it's Tina Connolly with a mini book I made using Graphic 45 Secret Garden.

I embellished the front cover with a mauve and silver "Remember Charming Word", as well as some flowers, leaves, and a little bling.

The tags have photos on both sides and I've included plenty of journal spots to record my daughter's memories of her Debutante Ball.

I used a bronze and mauve Charming Floral which co-ordinates perfectly with the papers.

I've created a cluster using flowers, leaves, heart locket and key charm.

The pages were cut at 4 x 9 inches.  I scored them at 6 1/2 inches and folded the lower edge up to create pockets for my tags and photos.  I was able to include fourteen photos, and there's still room to add more.  Other memorabilia, such as tickets or invitations, could also be tucked into the pockets.

Better rush over to my2angels, as there aren't that many of these gorgeous papers left
and don't forget this Birthday sale for every $5.00 you spend you get to choose 1 item from the 5c sale section - woo hoo bargin!!!
