I have been having a play with the gorgeous new Basic Grey Kissing Booth
and created this layout

I didn't want to take any emphasis away from my photo so kept the embellishments minimal BUT creating a large rosette to frame my photo (thank you Audrey for the idea)

To create your own rosette frame
cut 4 rosettes from the Sizzix Sizzzlits Decorative Strip Die

and adhere together then glue down to your layout
DON"T HAVE THE DIE STRIP .. no problems I do ... just purchase your pattern paper or cardstock and let me know and I can cut it for you
Then a spray of Cherub Pink Glimmer Mist over one of our 22.5cm doilies and inked

I then framed the edges of the doily with Flamingo Liquid Pearls
I also added a few of our dark pink roses and dark brown roses to the edges

add a piece of pattern paper for your photo frame
and ta da you have a decorative frame for your photo

The Scrapware Chipboard Do-Hicky Flourish 4 which is on top of our gold skeleton leaves

was covered with Flamingo Liquid Pearls then sprinkled (while still wet) with Diamond Dust

and one of our
and a pink mini gardenia which fits nicely inside

I have also used another of our filigrees at the top
with pieces of our Gold Cup Chain on both sides of the Hot Pink Rose

and lastly, corner pieces created using again our dark pink roses and dark brown roses with brown pearls to hang our Antique Bronze Birdcage

Bo Bunny Love Cards

I love red, black, and white for a colour combination and what better time of year or theme than Valentine's Day?  I have been hoarding these Bo Bunny Enchanted Papers for a while for just this project and knew how I wanted to use it; I had to keep it 'soft' so frayed the edges with my craft knife.

I had this idea to sew the middle of the heart and that morphed into having two layers; then it looked too plain on the card next to the fancy "U" with the floral chain so I added the white rose to the bottom layer; then I added bling to the "I" for balance but wanted more definition for the centre of the heart; so added a beautiful silver pin with the little heart bead at the top.

For the inside I used my new Blazing Red Stazon for the stamp and then decided to 'snazz' things up a bit using the "Adore" pin with the red bead - I love how it turned out!!  A matching envelope as usual and wallah!!

And a side angle shot so you can see the inside of the card too:

I love the end result - it's so romantic!

my2angels White rose

School Scrapbooking layouts

School Scrapbooking Layouts

We have a variety of School Embellishments at my2angels and I have set myself the target to get as many of the angels school photos scrapped and into albums before the next lot of photos get developed (dream on Tracy!)

But I have made a start!

First using our

Lots of Blue Flowers (I used a few from the Blue Butterfly and Flower pack, these flowers are of thick quality with absolutely gorgeous tones and colouring)

and
a 2nd layout
using

other suggestions are making little paper darts to fly over your layout

and
what about one of
for the Geography students (or as they now call it in the "new age PC world" SOSE!)

or take one of our new Inkssentials Brown Kraft Tags,
(available in 2 sizes)
grab some dictionary paper and embellish to create a journalling tag

don't forget to add our Antique Bronze Pen Pots to your tag

and how about, add a small amount of liquid glue eg dimensional magic to the back of a glass cabochons, and place over some letter stickers or "letter" stamped cardstock to make your own ABC bubbles or 1 + 1 = 2

Hope some of our suggestions help you to start on this years school projects

Hambleys Screen Prints with a dash of everything else

Happy New Year
Jess here with my first post of the year, slack blogger I know!

It is my mission this year to use up my giant stash of papers especially my hoards of Sassafras Lass and Hambly!
I have used a combination of papers on this layout they are: Hambly Screen Prints, Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas, Sassafras Lass Starters & Ellie's Tale as well as Kraft card stock. The alphas are from the Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas range.
For the paint splats I used my FAVE splatter product ever, Oil Slick Glimmer Glam, It gives to best round splats ever, they are shiny and a little bit raised as well which adds texture : )
How COOLIO is the my2angels huge 15cm Mulberry flower??? They are my new FAVE product (well one of hehe).
I coloured this one with a Distress Stain in Mustard Seed.

The leaves are the gorgeous new Antique Silver Leaf Charms that I have painted with Oil Slick Glimmer Glam.

I've also layered a Small Holed Yellow Acrylic Button.
More layering! I've done some stitching with baker's twine.......is there no end to the uses of this amazing product!! Ive also layered a Large Holed Yellow Acrylic Button, 2cm White Rose and a Yellow Rose.
Soooooo there you have it, my first scrappy share for 2012....better late than never right??
Hopefully I will be back soon with another share......now I've started getting into my my2angels goodies I think there will be no stopping me!!!!
Love and Peace xox

Embellish Me Subscription Kit

January Embellish Me Kit contains lots of handmade and manufacturer Love themed products this month.  And here are a few layouts I have created using this months kit (and the OTP I blogged on Friday also contains a few of the embellishments)

We only have 4 subscriptions left for the next 3 months.  If you would like to subscribe, you have until Wednesday to order and pay before kits are posted on the 20th (of each month).

I started with a Bo Bunny Enchanted in a black, red and white theme layout
I sprayed the black cardstock with marshmallow glimmer mist in random areas
and the doily, lillies and strip of pp sprayed with Scarlet Glimmer Mist ..

speaking of black cardstock Tim Holtz Kraft Core No. 24 is PURE Jet Black!!!!

and a sprayed of Red Roses with Red Rhinestones

White Gardenia and White Orchids

An embellishment I made especially for the kit

and this layout has been created with the gorgeous
Glitz Design Papers

(and is also a class layout we are teaching here at my2angels on will be having here on 12th February ... for full details go here to the class list)

Rhinestone Love  tucked in  between the ripped pp, flowers and stitching.

An easy way to adhere rhinestone words is to cut each letter individually then add to your layout, makes it easier than peeling the whole word as one and risk them sticking together

Our new I Love You Notepads charms tied with pink organza ribbon

changing the subject now from the embellishment kit but still on the theme of Love

check out Jen's card using our 2 toned brown stemmed flower

I love the idea of the Large flower filligree, centred with our love pin

Hoping your week has started off in a creative way
