my2angels Retreat Layout Classes

Saturday Retreat Classes

Revealing the details for 2 very special Retreat classes.

Due to to the need for drying time and the number of steps in the layouts - it will take all of Saturday for us to complete them. Classes will start at 10am and finish when we finish ...

Starting from a cardboard base we will be using a cobblestone background to frame our gorgeous 'Promised you a Rose Garden' layout.  So much detail there and plenty of die cuts to add to this rose filled layout.  Our cobblestone background is created using texture paste, distress inks and stains, plus several mists and embossing powders.

Photo size is a vertical 5x7 trimmed down slightly.

Please bring with you versa mark (or similar product), heat gun, tiny number stickers for your letterbox, basic tools and adhesives.

To save on waiting for class materials, some of which are limited, please (if you have the following) bring with you:
Kaisercraft 12x 12 Cobblestone Template
Pumice Stone Reinker to use directly onto layout AND to make our own mist
Spray bottle to make your own mist
Walnut Stain Distress Ink or similar DARK Brown Ink
Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink
Timber Brown Stazon or again a DARK Brown

Class Price $30.00 - please pay a deposit of $15.00 or full amount to the Retreat Commonwealth Bank account with your name and class Title as your reference.

It is essential you book and pay for this class as soon as possible, as there are over 30 die cuts to be cut for each layout and LOTS of flowers to purchase prior to the Retreat. (anyone wanna earn 5c a day to come and do homework lol)

Christmas Lunch at the Beach - however - you can use whatever title is best suited to your beach layout.  Using more of my favourite base of corrugated card - we will be layering it with texture paint, paints and mists; and then embellishing it with lots of charms, fishing net and microbeads.

Suits a vertical 6x4 photo.

Please bring gloves (if you don't like to get your hands messy), medium sized bristled paint brush, basic tools and adhesives.  You will also need your own chipboard or similar letters for your title.
Cost is $25.00

Please pay a deposit of $10 or full amount to the Retreat Commonwealth Bank account with your name and class Title as your reference.

IF you are NOT on facebook and want to book into these classes please send me an email to tracy@my2angels.net

The website has to go SALE

It is with a heavy heart and with much reluctance that I have to tell all my loyal customers that I have made the decision to close the my2angels website.

Increasing costs and the time needed to run the site have meant that I have had to make some hard decisions on how I best spend my time – and I feel that it is best spent on classes and making my handmade embellishments to sell via facebook and the blog.

The my2angels website will close on the 4th July, when my site subscription expires. I am currently stocktaking, however, you can still order and I will advise if any products you have ordered are out of stock.

No additional discounts or vouchers are valid during the website closing sale.

Check out the special sections for discounted rates – where you can get between 20-80% off.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my many loyal customers. Some of you have been with my2angels since the very beginning and many of you have become good friends. I have been honoured to share this scrappy journey with you and hope that you will continue to shop and scrap with my2angels via facebook and the classes.

A Little OTP Project or Two

Hi there!

Tania back with you today to share a couple of Off the Page Projects I made recently and dressed up with some yummy my2angels products.

First up is an 8 x 8 canvas.

Altered

I started by adding some texture to the background with a couple of stencils.  Once dry I used the chipboard from the Bubbles & Circles Chippie and Charm Kit which I cut up and placed either side of my canvas.  I then decorated the bottom of the canvas with an assortment of flowers including cherry blossoms and Stemmed Star Flowers Baby Pink & White, also putting in some Premade White Satin Bows.  Once I was happy with the arrangement off my embellishments I then had some fun adding Colour Blast Sprays until I was happy with the colours.  I added one of the Camera Charms Silver and Pink and Silver Love Charming Word to the bottom of my flower cluster.  I used one of  Kaiser's Script word clear stickers for my title and finished of my canvas with glass cabochons scattered around the canvas.

Below I have some close ups.

My second project to share with you is a small Collectables Chipboard Heart Printers tray I altered.

Firstly I assembled the heart, then gave it a couple of coats of gesso using a sponge so it gave it a more textured look.  I then flicked Black Dylusions mist randomly over it.  Once I was happy with the placement of my photo I then got to the fun part - Decorating it.   I used one of the My2angels gorgeous Today Embellishment Kits (OOS but Tracy promises that will be back in stock soon as they sold out so quickly!)  and finished off my project with some pretty blooms (cherry blossoms and rosebuds) from My2angels and Kaiser Pearls.

And a few close ups of this project.

Inspired Altered Wooden Spoon and Brush for my2angels

Hi everyone I'm back again!

I would love to share of my  project for my2angels as part of guest DT.  I made another inspired altered wooden spoon and brush for you.

I used the new my2angels Filigree Embellishment Kit found here

I started with a plain wooden spoon and brush which I added randomly crackle paste to create some background texture then I covered with heavy black gesso.

My next step was I painted the wooden spoon and brush separately with Artalhemy acrylic paint opal magic then I glued them together.

When the background items were glued and I started to cover the Filigree embellishments kit and some more embellishments with heavy black gesso also. Then I painted them separately with acrylic paint opal magic. After that I glued all embellishments and put on the background.

Once everything was dry I added some flowers Blue Stamen Spray Clusters - Silver Bead Berry Spray Clusters - Purple Sweetheart Blossomsangel charmsCharming Words and butterfly from Kaisercraft Collectables.

For my finishing touches I added sugar beads and glass glitters randomly.

I hope you enjoyed this make and be sure to check out the Filigree embellishment kitmy2angels Flowers  & my2angels Charms over at my2angels

Thank you for stop by and see you next time

Happiness is ... (a Vintage Charming Dangle)

I don't get as much time to scrap as I would like these days - so you know it has to be something special to get me to MAKE time. But when Tracy dangled this lovely little bauble under my nose, with the promise I could have one so long as I scrapped it - I knew I HAD to make some time.  The dangle is part of the Vintage Dreams kit available here on facebook here

vintage Scrapbooking Layouts

Luckily for me I had also just received some stunning photos taken (by a friend) of my daughter - and one of them was perfect for the dangle.

So I rummaged around through my flowers and charms from my2angels - and came up with the following...

vintage Scrapbooking Layouts

The leaves for the flowers started off as white mulberry paper leaves - I dyed them with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink (oos) over which I sprayed some gold Glimmermist. To get the two tones - I then over daubed it with the Distress Ink again.

The flowers are a combination of 2 tone brown cherry blossoms, deep ivory hip roses (I just adore these), 2 tone chocolate brown roses and some white magnolia type flowers. The larger blossoms have been sprayed with the gold Glimmermist and then dried with a heat gun until a slightly 'toasted' colour appears. An oldie but a goodie is the laughter charming word embellishment.

To match in with the chipboard pieces - I added in some of my favourite bronze clock charms - the antique clock and the curly numbers clock. And no flower collection is complete without a butterfly - so I popped a butterfly antique filigree clip into the largest flower cluster. I also used one of the 25mm glass cabochons with a little of the patterned paper - to make one of the cluster embellishments. Another new addition is the large antique bronze key - to which I added a small two tone brown rose and some bronze chain.

The pièce de résistance of course - is the lovely brown and ivory, sparkly glass Vintage Charming Dangle that is Tracy's latest creation. It has a vintage, antique feel to it - and frankly - I would be buying two of them and using them as earrings they are so pretty.

So check them out in the store and grab your own - you know you need one (or two even).

Basketball Layout

Here is my first page layout I made for the my2angels.  I am so excited doing this layout of my son photo who likes playing basketball so very much. This layout is really a simple one to put together with beautiful embellishments, ribbon, some stamps and embossing powder. These are available at my2angels

Scrapbooking Sports Layouts

So I started by cutting some patterned paper and adding the basketball Twill Ribbon. Then I put it  together in a plain paper background. Then I positioned the photos so it can easily include some embellishments.

After getting the right photos position I marked it and took all photos before I added stamp and green embossing powder in some spots.

Scrapbooking Sports Layouts

I also put more embossing powder on some my2angels cog charms

Scrapbooking Sports Layouts

And finally I add all embellishments, basketball pin , fussy cut paper, collectables from Kaisercraft and added the stamps to the edges with black ink pad.

I hope you like it and find it inspiring

His and Her's "Together" - 4 layouts from 2 sets of papers

In this series of 4 layout classes you will learn how to use the same papers to produce two male and 2 female layouts. There will be some core elements to both layouts in each pair - but the embellishments and techniques will vary slightly - so that your final layout is distinctly male or female themed.

The first two layouts are created with corrugated cardboard, crackle paint and a gorgeous woodgrain paper. Embellishments on the 'male' layout include a selection of layered die-cut leaves, with dry/heat embossing for your technique.

Scrapbooking Layout Classes

The matching 'girly' layout uses muslin, filigrees, die-cuts, metal chain, roses and our Together Charming word.

Scrapbooking Layout Classes

The second pair of layouts are based on a lovely shaded green paper.

The feminine layout has corrugated card, die cut leaves, stemmed flowers, misted flowers and our Together Charming word.

After a full day of creating we will finish the day, completing a easy masculine layout embellished with additional papers, our bottle cap 'There is a Boy who stole my heart he calls me grandma', some clock die-cuts, twine and a heart charm. Techniques include misting and embossing.  (Please let me know if you would like Grandma to be changed to nana, mum etc)

Black and White Basics Kit - Limited Edition

Black and white are such great colours from which to base a layout. You can add a 'pop' of colour here and there, feature a classic black/white photo or add layered texture in amazing ways.

In the 'Black and White Basics Kit" you will complete 5 layouts - all based on white card and similar textures BUT with 5 different looks.

Each kit will have the base of modelling paste or gesso pre-completed for you. All die cuts, embossing and paper required are also there - with a pot of blue paint and iridescent medium to complete the look.  You just need to supply your time, photos and:

- variety of sizes in paint brushes
- distressing tool (or just use your craft knife like I do)
- black paint
- black ink
- basic adhesives and tools
- Gesso for a top layer (I use Mont Marte which you can pick up at the cheap shops)

Instructions will be emailed to you complete with photos.

Once you have completed each layout, you may like to personalise your layout by adding another colour to match your photos - the easiest way to do this is to add a flower or two in your colour of choice; or flick some paint or mist in different areas  Add a title in your particular colour or just leave as it. Small personalised embellishments in your chosen colour are also great additions.

As there is a lot of preparation in these kits, they must be pre-ordered and the deposit paid PRIOR to 14th March.  Full payment is requirement at time of posting - 24th March 2016.

Cost is $100.00 not including postage - That is $20.00 per layout and as a bonus, you will also receive a variety bag of charms to personalise your layouts with.

Scripted Pair

Anything but basic, this lovely black and white layout is the perfect foil for a black + white photo or two. With a background of modeling paste in script, your two photos will nestle on a layered base of 3 frames, with an elegant floral/leaf embellishment.

Pretty in Tulle

A delicately scripted beauty, this layout includes layers of script, acetate, flowers, tulle and a stunning pink flower chain embellishment. Suits both a single photo or two photos as shown.

Love you to the moon and beyond

One for the boys - a messy multi-medium based layout that includes paint flicks, plasterers tape, an embossed background and some washi tape. Perfect for the wild child in your life.

Forever

One for the die cut fanatics and those who love a textured background. This classic black and white layout has LOTS AND LOTS of die-cutting and 3 layers of mediums. Save yourself hours of cutting and enjoy the intricate shapes that make up this gorgeously textured background.

Time Flies

Black, white and red - a classic combination with a WOW factor. A misted stencil background allows you to simply pop your photo on and arrange the flowers and die cuts to suit. A stunner of a layout that would suit a wide range of photos.

To orderyour limited edition kit, pop over here to the website here - but hurry we have already presold some of the kits
