Inspired Altered Wooden Spoon and Brush for my2angels

Hi everyone I'm back again!

I would love to share of my  project for my2angels as part of guest DT.  I made another inspired altered wooden spoon and brush for you.

I used the new my2angels Filigree Embellishment Kit found here

I started with a plain wooden spoon and brush which I added randomly crackle paste to create some background texture then I covered with heavy black gesso.

My next step was I painted the wooden spoon and brush separately with Artalhemy acrylic paint opal magic then I glued them together.

When the background items were glued and I started to cover the Filigree embellishments kit and some more embellishments with heavy black gesso also. Then I painted them separately with acrylic paint opal magic. After that I glued all embellishments and put on the background.

Once everything was dry I added some flowers Blue Stamen Spray Clusters - Silver Bead Berry Spray Clusters - Purple Sweetheart Blossomsangel charmsCharming Words and butterfly from Kaisercraft Collectables.

For my finishing touches I added sugar beads and glass glitters randomly.

I hope you enjoyed this make and be sure to check out the Filigree embellishment kitmy2angels Flowers  & my2angels Charms over at my2angels

Thank you for stop by and see you next time

Happiness is ... (a Vintage Charming Dangle)

I don't get as much time to scrap as I would like these days - so you know it has to be something special to get me to MAKE time. But when Tracy dangled this lovely little bauble under my nose, with the promise I could have one so long as I scrapped it - I knew I HAD to make some time.  The dangle is part of the Vintage Dreams kit available here on facebook here

Luckily for me I had also just received some stunning photos taken (by a friend) of my daughter - and one of them was perfect for the dangle.

So I rummaged around through my flowers and charms from my2angels - and came up with the following...

The leaves for the flowers started off as white mulberry paper leaves - I dyed them with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink (oos) over which I sprayed some gold Glimmermist. To get the two tones - I then over daubed it with the Distress Ink again.

The flowers are a combination of 2 tone brown cherry blossoms, deep ivory hip roses (I just adore these), 2 tone chocolate brown roses and some white magnolia type flowers. The larger blossoms have been sprayed with the gold Glimmermist and then dried with a heat gun until a slightly 'toasted' colour appears. An oldie but a goodie is the laughter charming word embellishment.

To match in with the chipboard pieces - I added in some of my favourite bronze clock charms - the antique clock and the curly numbers clock. And no flower collection is complete without a butterfly - so I popped a butterfly antique filigree clip into the largest flower cluster. I also used one of the 25mm glass cabochons with a little of the patterned paper - to make one of the cluster embellishments. Another new addition is the large antique bronze key - to which I added a small two tone brown rose and some bronze chain.

The pièce de résistance of course - is the lovely brown and ivory, sparkly glass Vintage Charming Dangle that is Tracy's latest creation. It has a vintage, antique feel to it - and frankly - I would be buying two of them and using them as earrings they are so pretty.

So check them out in the store and grab your own - you know you need one (or two even).
