Best Wishes Twiddleybitz Card

Best Wishes Twiddleybitz Card

For an upcoming friends birthday I made this card from a Twiddleybitz A6 Black Card ... these are a beautiful smooth card I love working with them

Twiddleybitz A6 Black Card

So first I cut out a piece of Prima Romance Novel Harlequin 10x14cm and adhered to card

Twiddleybitz Card making

I then sprayed Coffee Shop Glimmer Mist and Homemade Black Soot Glimmer Mist over some cut muslin, giving it a two tone to match the pattern paper.  When dried I adhered to left side of card

I inked one of the Twiddleybitz Fancy Flourish (it is sold with 2 flourishes in the pack for $4.99) they are a perfect size for their cards.  Next I heat embossed randomly Stampendous Aged Black Enamel Embossing Powder then adhered the chipboard over the muslin

Hi everyone Ann here
popping in for the month

I totally fell in love with this 75c Kaiser range. The colours are fabulous and the detailed patterns are very earthy and arty - so of course I wanted to do an OTP with them.
I found a cute size box at home and grabbed a few more supplies from my2angels and this is what I created.

kaisercraft 75c collection

All the papers are from the 75c collection - so I did plenty of mixing and cutting. I wanted feet on the box, so with Tracy’s help, she came up with the clever idea to use Filigree Borders for my feet.

kaisercraft 75c collection

For the top I used an Antique Bronze large flower filigree,
and the butterfly and clock are from the Collectibles embellishment packet.

To create the top, I folded back a paper corner and then punched three holes through which to thread the Cappuccino Bakers Twine, silver key charm and Tim Holtz Trinket pin.
Around the edge of the box I used Brown Acrylic Rhinestone chain to embellish it.

Charming Words Card

Here is just a quick card using the charming words from my2angels.

This one is the tangerine forever word, but there are lots of colours and words available. They make it easy to take a piece of paper from scrap to fab.

I also added some of the new gold twine and the pictures don't do it justice, it really is sparkly and pretty in real life. (Pssst, there is silver twine too, find it here.)

To create the multi-coloured piece of paper I placed a mask (find lots of designs here) on a white piece of paper and inked all over it with clear Versamark ink. This means that the in-between bits of the mask get inked.
Then I embossed it with clear embossing powder and inked the cardstock with Distress Ink in mustard seedspiced marmalade and peeled paint. A blending tool is best for this, but a scrap of felt works too. The ink will only stick to the bits that weren't embossed and it will leave you with a lovely batik effect. It looks best with masks that don't have a lot of fine details.

Step by Step Card with new Laughter Charming Word

So whilst Ngaire is away and unable to visit me - I thought I would quickly use her favourite new Antique Bronze and Tangerine Laughter Charming Word - that way I could gloat about getting to use one before she does.

So I made this cute little card - and just to make her even more jealous - here is a step-by-step card tutorial so you can make one too.

Ink your ink blending tool, with some Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink and blend all over your card.

When dry, put your card through your cuttlebug (or similar machine) with a floral embossing folder (I used the one that comes free when you purchase a cuttlebug).

Then swipe your Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink Pad over the embossing and the edges.  The pad will colour the raised embossing and create a two-tone as the ink blending.  Only some of this will show on the final card, but it's easier to cover the card fully now, than trying to work out where it will be exposed on the final result.

From Reflections Talavera - cut 6 pieces, measuring 10cm x 14.2cm.

This will give you 6 cards, I might as well "be prepared" as we were taught in Brownies and have some extras. It's all the more of these Charming Words I can use up before Ngaire gets home.

Ink lightly with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.

Now from the top of  your Reflections Talavera, tear a 5cm strip from the left-hand side on an angle and then a 4cm from the right-hand side down on an angle. Throw out the middle piece.

Distress & scrunch the torn edges and using your ink pad, directly ink the paper with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.

Now adhere the 2 pieces to your card.  Leave a border of a couple of millimetres, so a little of the  inked pattern on the kraft card shows.

Now place your:_
in a cluster towards the bottom of your torn middle.

When you are happy with their placement, adhere them to the card.

To finish, add your greeting with small letter stickers.

Oh dear!!!

Try and get your letters right, didn't realise they were crooked until I uploaded the photo lol.

Introducing ... and an OTP

Finally – the release you’ve all been waiting for – at long last - there’s a new addition to the ‘Charming Word’ collection.

Introducing the “Love Charming Words” range – a gorgeous silver LOVE, popped onto a matching silver filigree frame and embellished with a selection of roses, heart charms and glass beads.

Like the other Charming Words, this piece looks adorable on tags, tucked into the corner of a floral arrangement or simply placed over the edge of a photo.

Dark Pink Charming Pin

in time for Valentines Day and match perfectly with Pink Paislee Secret Crush

I had a bit of a play with a biscuit tin that mum got at Christmas time
Cute cat ,but somethings have to be sacrificed for the love of scrapping!!!

Filigree Scrapbooking Embellishment

To start with, I covered the tin with Pink Paislee Secret Crush Bouquet

Then I lined the side of the lid with our Black and Silver Rhinestone Chain.

A few more bits and pieces, a little playing and I came up with this.
 Filigree Scrapbooking Embellishment

On the front, I used our new Black LOVE Charming Word, together with a black rooster feather and black & grey flower.

And what about this for an inexpensive idea???

Instead of forking out quite a few dollars for legs - get two packets of filigrees (approx $1.60 for 2 packets)
and create your own legs!!!

I was pretty chuffed when I thought of it whilst helping Ann Lavin out with a project!

for my tin.

How easy is this? They look just like the real thing.

Yes they are our Vial Cork Bottles that I put my photos into!

DD has silver microbeads inside, with silver cup chain around the cork and to finish off -light pink roses on the top.

DS has tarnished mica fragments inside, a Black and Silver Rhinestone Chain around the cork, with a few more sprinkles of tarnished mica fragments on the top (I also sprinkled a few around the tin as well).

They were adhered to the tin with my hot glue gun (as is everything in my house). :)

Birds Eye View

All flowers used are available in our Flower and Nature section.
I also tucked in a dragonfly charm and silver locket charm into the cluster.

Our snail charm is hidden amongst the cluster of flowers.
(Can you see the Black and Silver Rhinestone Chain around the base of the Vial Cork Bottles?)

Our Pink Love Engraved Felt heart with pink sorbet twine and a large silver key charm were the perfect finishing touches - they look made for that patterned paper don't they?
