Together with the boys ...

Here are the last of the layouts for the month of May, both from DT Wendy ...

Footy Wind Up

Now I have to admit I am enjoying putting some dimension on my work at the moment so for the second time this month here is a layout where I have mounted my main photo on chipboard and cut out a second photo and used 3D tape.

The LO is my DS’s footy wind up from last year, I can’t believe how much he has changed in a year. I have used some more gorgeous papers from the Bo Bunny Mama-razzi range, Words and Aperture, which I have distressed and mounted on some Snowflake Core-dinations cardstock. For the title and date, I have used White Holly Doodle Alphabet Stickers. I finished off by journaling around the patterned paper using a Brown Slick Writer and adding also added some Black Rhinestones for a touch of bling.

and another ...

I have used some gorgeous October Afternoon papers for this layout. It's a combination of Fly a Kite Sprinklers and Thrift Shop Last One. The cardstock I have used is a yellow-cream colour but unfortunately looks a little beige in the photo (sorry I just couldn’t get it to play nicely for the photos!!). For the title, I’ve used one of my favourites, Carolees Creations Tiny Black Alpha Stickers together with AC Foam Thickers- Daiquiri, which I also love.

The clouds are Scrapware painted in a random pattern with Ranger Liquid Pearls.

The flower is a my2angels Mini Gardenia centred with a Plaid Fabric Brad and finished off with some charms, a Love Key and some cute Leaves

Goosh the year is going way to fast! Before we know it, dare I say, Christmas will be here again!

2 OTP clocks with Websters and Prima

Take one Scrapware Memory Box Kit (this is the only photo we have of the kit an example from the supplier but I am sure you get the idea)

add the most beautiful Websters Pages Inspired Bountiful Pattern Paper

and if you want you can make this ...

I am so in love with this clock and the websters paper as mention is just beautiful. I didn't want to take too much away from the paper so have added just small amounts of embellishments.

I am also happy cause I finally come up with a small clock idea, I have tried to get small clocks in from my charm supplier but they only have really working little watch faces (: so I heat embossed one of our circle pendants in Brown Sugar and added rub on letters to make a clock face. Ouch hot hot ... use tweezers to hold the pendant when heat embossing LOL

Inked and applied dimensional magic to the scrapware chipboard key, added a bronze heart locket charm, brown mini gardenia, brown organza ribbon and cream lace.

Top of the clock is dark brown pearls, bronze heart locket charm, brown organza ribbon and brown stemmed flowers

I managed to save one of the butterflies from the paper which I covered with a small amount of diamond dust, to go with more brown stemmed flowers, brown organza ribbon, brown mini gardenia and hanging from it are our clear drop pendants

For the quote I used Carolee Creations Tiny Etched Natural Alphas and Making Memories Shimmer Alphas

but if Websters don't take your fancy, then why not get a $8 clock from Big W

add some Prima Strawberry Kisses Cupcake pattern paper,

cut around and in the inside of the circle border (it isn't as painful as it looks, truly only took about 20 minutes to cut) and make this ...

adding some Blue and Brown Mini gardenias, petite angel charm, blue stemmed flowers and a piece of scrapware naomi chipboard

Mini blue gardenia again ... and a piece of from the pack of scrapware mini swirl flourishes. The numbers for the clock are from my scraps which I inked brown, stamped an image then heat embossed with Powder Blue

Inside the clock, behind the glass I inked and crackled accented a scrapware fence, added a dragonfly from the pp and added some mini flowers with pearls.

Its pouring with rain here on the Gold Coast, perfect weather to stay inside and scrap and so on that note, take care, have a great weekend, I am off to my little messy corner of the house to finish off some more OTPs

Boys and Butterflies

First up we have some wonderful boy cards from Taryn ...

Lately I find myself needing an endless supply of boy cards. I have 8 nephews, and sadly, no nieces, and with my 3, and all their mates... So here's some boy cards I made up to go in my stash.

and some gift tags ...

From Corrina with the most cutest canvas ...

I took this photo of my son climbing up a ladder towards me whilst I stood at the top of a platform...I loved the effect and I wanted to do a little something for my desk...so I made a canvas this month - only a little tiny one (4 inch by 4 inch) and I have a little easel to sit it on. I am really happy with the results of this and now my girls want one each too!

I coated the canvas roughly with an olive coloured acrylic paint, ripped up an old book for the background paper, and pulled a piece of gauze to shreds to lay over the top of the paper. I mounted the photo (which I attacked with an edge distresser and brown distress ink) onto a chipboard square that I had painted around the edge with tim holtz picket fence distress crackle paint. I tucked an olive green 38mm flower in the corner with a chipboard heart (coated with black magic glimmer mist) behind the photo mat before mounting.

Along the bottom of the canvas I have used a Basic Grey bling it topiary tree, a scrapware vine (coated with Tim Holtz crackle paint, then random inked with black and brown distress ink), a scrapware house (very maltreated with distress ink, gold embossing ink and distress inks LOL), some my2angels Explore Loud Messy ribbon (inked with distress ink) and finally a lovely my2angels large key charm.

Materials used:
my2angels Explore Loud Messy ribbon
my2angels Large Key Charm
Scrapware chipboard - houses, vine
Basic Grey bling it topiary tree
Olive green 38mm flower
Tim Holtz Crackle Paint, Tim Holtz distress inks and gold ink
misc: 4x4 inch canvas, acrylic paints, gauze, a page from an old book, inks.

From Guest DT Kim ...

My last layout for my2angels is titled PURE JOY creates a feeling of movement and joy by the use of the mulitude of butterflies which seem to be escaping from the large scrapware birdcage .

I started with the Apple Jack fundamentals paper and kiwi core dinations cardstock in kiwi , I then layered the chipboard over my photo (leaving it raw which gives the page a boyish feel)and punched out some butterflies using scraps of cardstock. I added some grey pearls to some of the butterflies for interest.

I have created my title with two types of letters, the cherry red foil thickers from American craft and the Jenni Bowlin chalkboard stickers, for a fun look I have overlapped my letter stickers and used foam tape to create a 3d effect. Finally I added the apple charm and boys cap charms and a black and white fabric brad and splashed some silver glimmermist over my page.

Thanks Tracy for this great opportunity.

You are so very welcome Kim :) I have loved all your creations you have shared with us this month

Remember back in April when one of the free gifts of the month was White Opal Liquid Pearls? Well Taryn has put together a few ideas of using your liquid pearls which you can find in our resource section under tutorials.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic and creative Thursday

Sports layouts

Today the DT takes on a sporty theme with their layouts

Starting off with Wendy ...

I have used 2 sheets of the Bo Bunny Mama-razzi Aperature patterned paper and cut out the swirling pattern from down one side and attached it to the other side of the paper using double sided tape and 3D foam tape. I also cut into the pattern on my original piece and slid my film strip and mounted photo underneath it. The filmstrip is die cut from Core-dinations black cardstock which I sprayed with some gorgeous Marshmallow Glimmer Mist.

My title is a combination of AC Thickers Daiquiri and Carolees Creations mini black letters.

My finishing touches are some my2angels products: football boot charms, my2angels extreme boy ribbon and Black Rhinestone Photo Corners which I took apart.

And from Corrina ...

Having fun with daddy...

This photo was taken last year at Auskick with my son and husband running around like 5 year olds. Both of them. They both have a terrific time playing around with the footy, and I can't wait to see how the balance will change when little Mr B is big enough to tackle his daddy to the ground!

I have used the fantastic my2angels Extreme Cool ribbon , ric rac, and some thin teal satin around the edge of the my2angels felt frame in what I call a ribbon explosion effect. I carefully cut the ribbon so you could see the words clearly. The footy boot charms were perfect for this layout, and are were a very pleasant surprise when I dug them out of my parcel - they are a terrific size with excellent detail. The Rose Moka pattern papers that I used were dead set perfect for the photo and the club colours (teal white and black) so this page really made itself.

The chipboard words were ones I have had gathering dust in the bottom of my stash (I cannot recall where or when or who made them) and they were a very dodgy printed over design that I lightly sanded, then used black magic glimmer mist over the top and a crackle finish - and ta dah! New letters!

Materials Used:
my2angels black zig zag felt frame, my2angels footy boots charms
ribbons: My2Angels extreme cool ribbon, black ric rac, thin teal and black satin ribbons
papers: Rose Moka - Positif, Charmant
Title: misc chipboard, Carolees Creations mini black letters
product: crackle finish, black magic glimmer mist, black ink, aqua ink

Hope you all have a happy day

Graphic 45 Shadow Box

Today we have a shadow box within a shadow box to share with you, all made from a pizza box with the beautiful Graphic 45 Le Romantique Sweetheart of Mine and Tender Missives Pattern Papers.

I have framed the 2nd shadow box with our Black Scroll Felt Frame and black rhinestones

In the top right hand corner is the Scrapware Chipboard Chandelier which was inked in various colours and black kindy glitz

Here are the gorgeous mini Gardenias now available on our website. These are the peach (sprayed with marshmallow glimmer mist) and black gardenia (also sprayed with marshmallow glimmer mist).

In the centre of our gardenia I have used a 2 x 2 piece of our NEW gold rhinestone chain. This is smaller and more delicate than our silver cup chain we currently stock.

Tucked in behind is the Scrapware Chipboard Key (heat embossed with Black Glitter then wiped with gold ink), black scroll felt heart, black rhinestone scroll and our red copper evening dress

I have used the gold chain again on the Scrapware Large Audrey Mannequin.
Behind the gardenia is our black lace and another black rhinestone scroll

As mentioned this was made with a pizza box, well the kind that you get your my2angels orders in. I have 4 OTP's in the making, all using our pizza boxes they are not too thick but still sturdy to work with

The gardenias and gold chain is in limited supply at the moment so if you want no need them, get in now as there is no definite date when the next order will arrive - we have been advised it is most likely to be mid July.

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend
Back later with more creations from the DT

Weekend Inspiration

Fantastic layouts to share with you today from Taryn and Kim

Firstly from Taryn...

Again this month I have used the mam-razzi papers... the neutral colour scheme is just so versatile! Here's another layout I created to document Will's enthusiasm for anything boyish. The boy is unstoppable!!! And ever so lovable.

To co-ordinate with the Bo Bunny Mama-razzi papers, for this layout, I used:

The blue rhinestone stars really help lift the layout.

How special is the little star charm??

I hope you like the mama-razzi as much as I do!

From Guest DT Kim ...

My layout titled FIRST SHOES (tee hee ...and my new favourite) I chose the phonetics paper and mytype from Apple jack as well as the Co ordinations cardstock in cardinal. I used the back of the my type paper and trimmed it and the cardstock to fit inside the letters on the phonetics paper. I then used some of the card stock to cut some triangles to create the banner and sewed them into place using my machine.

I used a couple of the decorative edges from the Sassafrass paper and mounted one with foam tape to form a border at the bottom. I then grabbed one of the scrapware chipboard signs and tied on with rafia the boy's cap charm and the lollipop charm, I pop dotted the sign too for added interest.

I added some cream pearls and an apple charm and finished with two different styles of lettering for my title. I used the Jenni Bowlin chalkboard stickers and American craft foil thickers in cherry. I find creating a title with different letting styles and fonts really creates an impact!

And here is one layout from me ...

Of my son's naming ceremony OMG way back 12 and a half years ago. Sorry for the quality of the photography didn't matter what conditions I took it in, still came out yukky!

I used core dinations snowflake cardstock and sprayed it with Graphite glimmer mist.
Also used our white and black felt scroll hearts and Websters Pages Life's Portrait Reflections (my favourite of the range)

an upclose of the title using a Scrapware Fancy Bracket which I heat embossed with glitter black. The letter stickers are from Rusty Pickle I love these stickers, you get 9 of most of the letters in different sizes. Once these stickers are gone that's it, no more since Rusty Pickle is no longer in operation (:

I cut some of the frames off the pattern paper and raised a few of them with foam tape to give some dimension. Also our black gardenias from the nature pack and clear black rhinestones

Our 100% boys ribbon, black silicon ribbon and white ric rac. I randomly punched holes through the other side of the pattern paper, an idea I got off Scrapperlicious's blog some time back. I love the effect and perfect for boy pages

Hope you all have a fantastic and creative weekend

I am off to attempt to complete at least 1 of the 5, yes five OTP's I am working on ... crazy I know, I get an idea in my head and off I go and while working on that one my mind wonders and next minute another one has been started!!! I think I need therapy ... does anyone know the number of Scrappers Anonymous
