I love you Daddio and a weekend tip

I love you Daddio

I have once again dug into my HUGE my2angels stash. Tracy is so good to me, even though she wasn't getting the Echo Park - Times and Seasons collection in store, she was kind enough to order a collection pack from her supplier for me!

So a big THANKS to you Miss T!
She will get products in if you ask her:)

I popped a moustache sticker on a cute Felt Boy.....I think he looks rather dapper. I'm loving the Imaginarium Chipboard Tracy has got in recently. I used the Swirly Frame, which I painted with gesso then inked with Distress Ink - Broken China, then embossed with Distress Powder - Broken China. Lastly

I swiped over it with some Distress Stain - Peeled Paint. I painted both the Camera Charm & the Antique Silver Circle Pendant with Glimmer Glaze - oil Slick. The Manila Tag was painted with gesso then swiped over with Distress Stain - Peeled Paint.
All of my layouts seem to have a Scalloped Felt Frame (I cut them up to use as borders) & Spotted Acrylic Buttons (Green & Black).

Do you have products that you re-visit time and time again?
I'm also digging the Plaid Fabric Brads and of course another must have.....Twine!!!
Well there you have it folks!!
Love and Peace xox
Jess

And a weekend tip from me, Tracy

if you store your bottles in a box, like I do, it is a pain trying to find the right bottle of Distress Stains or Crackle Paint

sooooooo
punch/cut out a circle and tape to the lid,

ink, stain or paint the colour of product in the bottle

and then you won't have the problem (like I use to) of having to take all the bottles out to find what you need

Hope you all have a creative and peaceful weekend

Create your own embellishments

Here are a few ideas to create your own embellishments
using our Glass Cabochons

These have been used in various kits that we have in stock but we thought we would share them so you can make your own Websters and Prima Style Pebbles

Remember back in January for the school scrapbooking layouts where I showed you these?

Mega Easy to make:

Select some pattern paper to use (or stickers like I did above), apply clear liquid glue like dimensional magic or glossy accents to the back of the glass cabochon

Apply gently pressure and swirl paper around the base of the glass cabochons (to spread the glue and remove any air bubbles that may appear).

Wait till it dries then cut around the glass cabochons to create your own pebble

Or if you would like a water effect, like the October Embellishment Kit subscribers received, read on:

Take a selection of various sizes of glass cabochons

Apply drops of Dimensional Magic to the back to create the water bubbles ..usually we don't want bubbles in our Dimensional Magic but in this case we encourage the bubbles to give an even more effective water effect (of course when I was making them I could only get a few of the bubbles TYPICAL ah!)

Apply Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze All that Jazz to the flat back of the cab, using the brush that comes with the bottle

Wait for it to dry (around an hour depending on the weather and heat) and then you have your own water bubbles

Ideal for your beach or bath layouts

If you do not want to make your own water bubbles, no probs, we have made some for you.  You will find them in the cabochons section on the website

and while we on the subject of Glimmer Glaze
our October subscribers also received these for their summer / beach layouts

Take one of our circle silver pendants
Apply Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze All that Jazz to the pendant, using the brush that comes with the bottle
While it is still wet then place one of our Jandal / Thong Charms (the glaze will seal and hold the charm so no need to apply glue)

Girls day out and a boy's school layout

Hi ya there girls
Lisa here.....

Well I have had a great weekend recently, enjoying lots of scrappy times with 6 other friends.. It was good for me as I have been putting scrapping on the back burner as I have sooo much else on atm and I can hardly manage to fit every one of my loves into my creative nights.

But my creative mojo was flowing and I put together this one.  It was easy to put this together as I opened up my wee stash of my2angels charms and flowers.. Perfect colour match with the paper.

I have used the gorgeous Bronze House Scene Pendant with Chain (which BTW Tracy makes these herself and is constantly selling out, I think she has made another batch) and is one of my favourite vintage embellies, along side resin flowers and green rose.

I have used the Scrapmat circle chippy above my photo which I love.. I have inked it up using Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Ink. .. Frayed Burlap.. always a good colour.
I have done a bit of happy sewing on the photo for another texture.  I covered my Scrapware chipboard letters with my printed paper and sanded up the edges using my faithful nail file.. These letters are awesome to cover, paint, distress or even emboss.

I always like to put a date on most of my layouts.  In this one I have used the lovely clear Jenni Bowlin Letter Stickers.   Well I am off to make some cards using the gorgeous Bo Bunny Enchanted paper Collection.  It is simply breathtaking!  I cannot wait to start.
Make sure you check this page for my cards in the next week.

That's it folks.... off I go on my next creative venture.

Moonie x

 and from me Tracy

I created my own black glimmer mist for this layout to spray over the new
Crafter's Workshop Ledger template

How?

get yourself a mini mister, a little scoop of Pewter Perfect Pearls, drop of Black Soot Reinker (which of course comes with a handy dandy eye drop applicator)

then fill mister bottle up with water (leaving a small space at the top to shake)
and ta da!
BLACK GLIMMER MIST

And my layout,

with the photo on top of old dictionary pages, scrap piece of October Afternoon paper
and
I embossed (not fully) the outside with Pewter Zing Embossing Powder and wiped the inner piece with Brush Corduory

(just for the record we only have 2 left
and since Scrapware is no longer selling wholesale these are the last ones that we will ever have in stock)

I created a little book, first embossing a piece of chipboard with Sizzix Embossing Folder Collage and Notebook Set,

wiped it with Black Soot Distress Ink folded to create the outside of a book and ripped pages from an old book for the inside pages.

Added string
a world globe charm
and our pen nibs to the front

Tim Holtz Trinket Pins to hold our Pen Pot Charm
My title is using the awesome Carol Creations Alpha Stickers on a grey cardstock Sizzix on the Edge Die File Tabs

More of Tim, using dictionary paper again and cutting it with
his Tattered Banner die cut

Hope you all have a creative weekend
