I am on a Design Team Woo Hoo

I was asked by the lovely Shazza to join her on her new challenge blog called From Screen 2 Scrap. It is an awesome unique concept whereby everything is movie related, I mean how cool does this look

The first challenge was to create a layout using the inspirational movie poster "Fire walk with Me" directed by David Lynch

Here is my entry basing on the colours and the heart theme. We also had to have zig zags and ripping/ tearing with 1 photo.

Oh look it our stemmed flowers again LOL and black rhinestone flourish cut up, our love charm, made with love charm, red flowers, black & white heart ribbon, white, black & red black organza ribbon, eye pin and our white tag for the journalling.

So from the top at the start of each month a movie poster will be uploaded and the DT will give you some added inspiration with each of their submissions.

You will have a month to complete and your take is be emailed to: shazzaalleyes@hotmail.com

At the end of the month a Golden Globe Award will be presented by the DT to recognize outstanding achievement in the monthly scrapbooking challenge, (both domestic and foreign layouts), and to focus wide public attention upon the techniques, overall appearance and criteria met.

ALSO,

An Academy Award, (popularly known as an Oscar), will also be presented monthly by a random draw of all entries, this is to recognise excellence by all of you in the scrapbooking industry including the Crew (DT members), Movie Buffs (challenge entrants), and Movie Extras (guest designers)

When you send your entry to Shazza please let her know it was me and my blog that you heard about screen 2 scrap from.

The blog offically starts on 1st August but here is it just for you ...

Hope you have a fun and creative day

3 Layouts to Share

3 layouts to share with you tonight but first I have to say I AM IN LOVE yip totally and utterly in love with my new flowers. So much so I have done 3 layouts in record time! The first one is for the Sketch Challenge over at Ready Set Scrap (I so go to type ready steady cook every time!)

I remember a while back stating that I can't use the same paper twice WELL I WAS WRONG (don't tell me kids I admitted to being wrong!) the Rose Moka paper is second on my LOVE list. This photo cracks me up every time - Sarah had been trying for weeks to roll over but her arm keep getting in the way and then she finally did it and the look on her face - priceless!

Our I am Clever charm with white tags

Up close of our flower charm, black rhinestone flourish, white tags, white corrugated ribbon and flowers with 2 skeleton leaf behind

This is one of the new scrapware chipboards we now have in stock. Bird is coated with pink kindy glitz and I used Jo Sonja Crackle Medium which is now in stock

Next layout is of mum and I and it is for the Purple Scraps Monthly "Challenge You". As required I did heritage style, based the colours on a layout in their gallery, used up odds and sods of letters and it is sort of based on the sketch.

Pattern Papers are Jenni Bowlin (another newbie in store) with again our stemmed flowers white and blue this time.

Another scrapware chipboard, crackle paint, antique gold key charm and our blue flowers

Finally last layout to share is one for a friend, who I still haven't asked permission to upload so I have blurred out the photos.
The envelope containing a letter is made from an old newspaper which I downloaded from the NZ National Archives (it is for a friend back in NZ)

Papers are Little Yellow Bicycle (love them, okay they are third on my list), the scrapware bird on branch which I just inked this time and applied DM. Also a dollie I sprayed with Granite Glimmer Mist, red and black rhinestones, red crystal brad, white tag, black organza ribbon and our red felt scroll. Bird up in the top right hand corner is from scrapware as well.

Our red and black/white stemmed flowers with skeleton leaf (again I know but I love them), black flower we have sold out of this style but do have other ones in stock, and our red felt heart.

I have one more layout to show you but I can't share that with you till Saturday ... why ... can't tell ya ... you will just have to wait till Saturday.

Thanks for looking
Tracy :)

I am back with lots and lots of new products

Hi everyone I am back - no mojo so no layouts to share (well I do have 3 half completed layouts on my desk!)

Firstly thank you to everyone for your kind comments and emails I have received over the past week. It is really heartwarming to know people are so kind and thoughtful to take the time to write to me xxx

While I haven't been around I have still been busy with lots of new products arriving this week. Here is a small peak at a few of them

Over 20 new chipboards from scrapware in the chipboard section.
More Buzz and Bloom Mirror and Acrylic shapes
Jo Sonja Crackle Medium in the Dimensional Magic section
Yeah also go some 3mm double sided tape, onto my last little piece.

But my favourite new products would have to be the black/white and blue/white stem flowers and the Jenni Bowlin Newsprint Pattern papers which I have used on this half completed layout.

Must go and locate the mojo those 3 layouts have to be completed by next week along with 2 other private scrapbooking job I have been asked to do and I have to organise myself as I have been request to teach a lady how to scrapbook guess how old she is or should I say how young she is ... 95 YEARS OLD ... just goes to show you are never too old to learn something new :)

Take care and thanks again to everyone

I apologise in advance

Hi everyone

I just want to say sorry in advance for no new postings and not visiting all the forums I usually go to on a regular basics.

This week has been an emotional week and very tiring.

Firstly, on Wednesday I received a phone call to say a good friend of mine had emergency brain surgery and as we speak, it is still touch and go still for him.

An hour after receiving the call about my friend, my boyfriends father died in New Zealand.

No scrapbooking has been done and I am not sleeping very well at the moment so I am absolutely knacked.

Just wanted to let everyone know, who usually hears from me regularly I am taking some time out and won't be back for a few more days.

Take care everyone
Tracy

2 Angels sleeping layouts

As one of the Top 50 sponsors, I had the pleasure of co hosting last months Cyber Crop. It was heaps of fun and for this months Christmas in Jully CC one of the challenges is a blog hopping challenge. So to explain why I might mention something a bit out of the ordinary in this post, it may well be a clue for the blog hoppers :) And it isn't me 'just being my usual duuuuuurrrrrrhhhhh self ;) or is it????

Okay for some scrapbooking - this first layout is based on a sketch at the Scraplounge for July.

I have úsed heaps of our flowers

white scroll felt star

rhinestone words - sweet and dream (adding an s from other words I have)

silver, dark green & purple rhinestones

silver glitter brads

purple rhinestuds

purple crystal brads

green felt scroll ribbon

Buzz and Bloom acrylic house

and the following charms: butterfly, daisy flower, dragonfly and mushroom.

The Buzz and Bloom chipboard flower flourishes which I inked, applied dimensional magic and put DM and Kindy Glitz

The fence I made with chipboard, painted it green, applied crackle then covered it with white paint.  I found some soft wire which I threaded with our 13" clear beads.

I haven't been as scraphappy, as I could have been, while missing in action but I do have one more layout I did last month, don't think I have shown you. It was for the June CC at the Top 50,but didn't submit as it didn't turn out how I wanted. Same theme & style layout as above just a different angel skeeping. Whose blog? Where?

I do have 1 more layout to share but I haven't resized it etc so it can wait for another day. Blog what blog whose blog?

Ooooo my favourite programme is on now - How I met your mother - must dash

There's a mouse in my lunchbox

I don't even have an excuse for why i haven't blogged lately, I can't even tell you what I have been doing, all I can do is blame it on the school holidays!

I have only 1 layout to share with you. It is for the Ebony & Ivory Challenge over at RSS where you had to use black, green and pink. The Rose Moka paper was perfect for this challenge and I just looooooooovvvvvvvveeeeeee the RM paper range. We also had to have rhinestones, buttons and chipboard.

First I need to explain what the ... am I scrapbooking sandwiches for! Well I have a habit of when making the angels lunches I take a bite out of the sandwich - well it always looks so yummy and I have to have something in my stomach before the day is full of consuming lots and lots of coffee! And I use to always take a bite out of my EX husbands lunch and my now BF when I make him lunch - not bloody often now he is ugly and old enough to do it himself!) So I decided to scrap this habit / tradition.

I have used our zig zag felt frame and as required buttons on the chipboard title which I painted and crackled, rhinestone eyes on the rat and 1 photo.

I had heaps of fun with this layout, so here it is with a few close ups.

Have fun creating
Tracy :)

PS Should have a restock of Buzz and Bloom & Glimmer Mist by the end of next week yipee

Musical Themed Ribbon Storage Box

Musical themed Ribbon Storage Box is my entry in the Top 50 combo challenge. For this month it's a musical theme and you must have the word music in your title. So on my little tag is

Life without music would be a mistake ... Friedrich Nietzsohe and then I added so would scrapbooking without ribbon.

I am a serious ribbon hoarder and have 3 more to boxes to make up to house my ribbons and that doesn't include all the odds and odds in a jar on my table - told you serious hoarder!!!

I used the cuttlebug on the pink cardstock for texture. Used our black scrolls, flowers, black buckle, black and white hearts ribbon, pink organza ribbon, white felt heart and muscial note, butterfly and made with love envelope charms. The lace I sprayed with granite glimmer mist. Oh and the musical paper, sprayed with Pink taffy Glimmer Mist I downloaded from the internet. I have keep it as a word document on my computer for future use. Click here to down load it

And here are some close ups ...

Oh I know I haven't given enough detail on what I did or how I did something, I always get an email from someone, asking how I did something! Sorry but time is limited today, everyone is busy so I have a quiet downstairs to work in and I feel like scrapping after I have blog hopped, which is a serious addiction that I need to control.

Have a fantastic weekend everyone

Tracy

PS Something to watch, you might be groused out by it and you just know what is going to happen but it is hiliarious ... personally ... you just hold on till you get home!!!!
