Prima Layouts

Hi scrappers, it's Geli here. I wanted to show you what else I've done with the gorgeous Trendsetter
 range by Webster.

I had converted my photo to black and white and decided to go with a mostly green colour scheme with just a splash of bright pink.
Not a colour combo I usually use, but why not?
First, I painted over my background paper with gesso and then added some spots with green and black ink using that metal sheet of holes you get after sequins have been punched out.

For a fun embellishment I painted a scrapware chipboard hatstand  and added crackle accent . I found that the crackle accent actually made my colour a lot brighter when it dried and so I simply swiped another ink pad over it to tone it down a little.

Hat stands aren't really my thing, so I converted it into a tree with a little op shop doily and some yellow stemmed flowers . They were originally bright yellow and I sprayed them with a little glimmer mist  to match my colours. Pop on a little bow charm  to make it cute.

The scrapware bird and branch  got a similar treatment. I love how you can make your chipboard any colour.

Up in the corner I used a oval charm frame  instead of a journaling tag. I bunched up a few small stemmed flowers  around it to make a mini cluster to balance the tree.

I double-layered some butterflies from the style 105 paper  with foam squares to really make them pop up.

The back of this paper was also used for a photo mat and a scrap of Handsome Vintage  for the little punched border. I wanted to have a few small splashes of bright pink in several places or the tree would have looked out of place.

So there you go.
An unusual colour combo for me but I am very happy with the results.

Helllloooo Dahhhhhlinks....
Jess here

Soooo a few weeks ago I ordered a whole bunch of Prima and Websters pp's & embellies from my2Angels......I had always looked at them and thought oh they are so pretty but too girly...or not my style....then I thought...why not give em a go...why not funk em up.....and so...here is my first Prima NON PRETTY lo : )

For this lo I used the Prima Madeline pp's.....LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

The butterflies are perfect to cut out and doodle on....and of course I used more twirly whirly twine

I have been using the Marmalade Glimmermist on everything.....it's seriously my FAVE mist colour.....and it's a limited addition....sooooo I would hurry up and get some....if you haven't already!! So I've splattered it on my page (no page is complete without a good splatter) and sprayed it on my other FAVE product......Scrapware Do-Hicky Flourish #5.....these are all sorts of awesome.....chop em...use them as a mask...use the chippy backing as a stencil....me oh my they just rock...Oh and the cardboard is Scrapware Correboard Craft Sheets....

Love charms but don't always want the metal look on your page.....one word....PAINT.....I love painting charms.....they look super awesome : ) Here I've painted a Buggy Car Charm with a wee bit of white paint......The Websters fabric tickets add yummy texture to a lo and am so loving there buttons too......these come with funky coloured twine as well....yay : )

And just so you know.....I've used Websters Trendsetter alpha stickers on the photo and I stitched through some Thickers for the rest of the title....

Thanks so much for having a goosey goosey gander at my scrapping : )

Love and Peace xox
Jess
