Classes down in Tasmania

I am back from the adventure down in Tassie. We had a great time once the rain stopped! It is such a beautiful part of the country with green for miles (coming from the drought of Gold Coast it was a beautiful sight). The people there were so friendly and so welcoming, if you haven't been there you gotta go. I think a few mini tornados must have come into town while we were (and I don't mean us LOL!) We had some delays and detours because of fallen trees and power lines down but it made our journey even more fun. The first photo is before we got to Jo's house in Rosebery and the 2nd photo is on our 2nd detour getting out of Rosebery - yip we drove under it LOL

here are the 2 layout classes we did. I think the ladies were a little overwhelm with so much to do in one day, but 90% of them mangaged to complete all 4 classes and a few of them being beginnners did brilliantly.

SWEET

Rose Moka Papers were used and as it is doubled sided we cut it, ran our knife down the edges to distress them then flipped the middle piece over to show the other pattern side. Then taped it down to white card for a backing.

The chipboard is scrapware flourish which has been inked and painted with kindy glitz and dimensional magic to finish it

The photo of the innocent me LOL is our felt scroll frame on top of a doily sprayed with pink taffy glimmer mist and our silver rhinestones “sweet” word. All the girls got 4 words, sweet, family, love and adore for the titles of the 2 page layouts.

The bottom of layout starts with our white felt scroll ribbon and over top twisted is our pink 13”beads and tulle. Tied randomly onto the tulle is black organza ribbon, large daisy and leaf charms, velvet rose leaf sprayed with granite glimmer mist and our light pink stemmed flowers. Tied at the bottom of the chipboard stemmed flowers is our made with love heart charm, eye pin and pink bead, (left over from the strand used to twist around the tulle). Randomly adhered are our clear black and pink rhinestones.

ADORE

The 2nd layout was for the boys. I used our Adore rhinestone words for my title!

Top right hand corner is a small piece of black tulle and our red stripped felt heart.

We cut cardstock, raised with foam tape, inked the edges and put the title of their choice onto each square

We painted the frame with crackle paint then with black paint. I wiped silver ink down the sides as well. Bull dog clip, white tag and our heart locket with key charms

Moving down was a piece of white card sprayed with granite glimmer mist, black tulle again which we randomly cut. The arrow photo anchor from scrapware is inked red, then black for the edges, dimensional black and a black rhinestone. Made the tag from my cuttlebug

I made some red cardboard hearts before I left tied with string. Glad I did because we were running out of time on the day

We also did an OTP house but mine got damaged while on the plane so once I get it back together again I will post it for you to see. (The photos I do have of it have a orange glow to them thanks to the dust storm we had before we left)

Finally, a BIG BIG thank you to Jo and Brenda for their wonderful hospitality and making us all feel so welcome. They feed us, gave us accommodation and basically "put us with us" not an easy task somedays LOL

To everyone who has emailed me while I was away I am slowly getting through them and will reply to you asap

Will be back soon with next months free gift of the month and don't forget ARTastic and Screen2scrap will have October's challenges up by tomorrow, hope to see you over there

We loved having you! I am a bit sad that the weather was so bad for you while you were here. Some places up around Burnie way are still without powers and are not expected to have it fixed until this weekend!! Nothing like roughing it! I hope you got your word and frame, I remembered it just as Brenda was leaving and gave it to her :)
