Check out this new site, out of the hat challenge that I have joined up with.
You design the challenge each month! Send them your ideas - colours to use, techniques to use, number of photos, double or single page, anything that tickles your fancy - even things not to use. Then on the first day of each month, they will find a hat to hold all the ideas, and draw out three to challenge you.
Each month there will be three fantastic prizes up for grabs. Winners will be decided across three categories, public vote winner which is decided by you, a random winner which is drawn from the names of all those that enter and a design team winner which is chosen by the design team. The public choice winner for April receives a $20 store voucher from my2angels
You'll have until the 25th of each month to email your layouts and they announce the winner at the end of the month.
........ the April challenge is ..........
1. Use lace in a unique way - challenge set by Annette Ledger
2. Use a non square/rectangular background - challenge set by Sandra Wilkinson
3. Use a "non traditional" scrapbooking item on your page - challenge set by Anne Patterson
Out of the Hat is in every way a random draw. I collect all of the ideas and print them out on strips of paper throughout the month and keep them in a lunchbox (okay so the truth is out - it's not really a hat!) and on the 1st of the month I dip into the box and draw three of them. The only instance that the draw will be "rigged" is if two of the ideas directly contradict ie: use black/don't use black. That is the fun of this challenge - it's all up to chance and you never can know what will come Out of the Hat next!!
Go and visit them and give it a try
Hope your weekend was full of inspiration and many creations created.
I have been a busy bee over at April Cyber Crop - 9 layouts in 5 days phew it takes it out of you but heaps of fun. You must go into the gallery over there and check some really inspiring layouts and OTP. I will post my layouts if / when I complete them
