A day to celebrate with Kaiser

A match made in heaven....I have SO many birthdays in August when Tracy asked me to have a play with the new Kaiser Save the Date papers - I cheered !!!! I have my sister, my Mum, my son and my niece and an Aunt!!!! Yeah I know - my credit card hates this time of year!!!!

And this year my Mum turned 70 and my son turned 13 so significant birthdays to be celebrated!!!!

I love the colours in these papers - seriously they are fabulous versatile papers - I have used them for my son and my Mum and they suit both !!
So today I will start with my sons layout......

I love white cardstock backgrounds but I can't help myself - I usually have to mist them or ink them !!! This one was glimmer misted with fabulous green glimmer mist - Tracy has the BEST prices for mist - I promise!!!

I then cut the Milestone paper and drew around the outside edges and adhered it to the left side of the cardstock.

I loved the Cheers paper and the different bits you could cut from it - I used the large scallop for Lachlans birthday layout. I have also handcut the "time to celebrate" scallop journal box.

I then cut some of the pinwheels from the Cheers  paper and using brads I created some little pinwheels.

I also handcut some of the balloons from the Streamers and raised these up on popdots.

One of the many things I LOVE about Tracys store is that there are always fabulous embellishments to add something unique to your layout.
In this case I have added the funky little Happy Birthday pins and a gorgeous wooden button - I added some red twine and a cool little ice cream charm
To balance the red twine on the button - I also glued some loopy twine at the top of the layout .

I love using the bonus strips of paper you get with Kaiser papers now and I have used these on this layout for added texture with my pinwheels!!!
And here is the finished product!!!

I will be back later with another birthday layout featuring my Mummy!!!!! In the meantime check out the fabulous range of papers HERE!!!!

Love your layout. Papers are really great , until one sees what can be done using them they're more appealing.. x
