Love Cards and The Girls Paperie

Love Cards and The Girls Paperie

Wendy here ....

It’s that time of the year again when everyone is thinking of L.O.V.E!!
So to celebrate, I have made a trio of LOVE cards!

All these cards use the same patterned papers, The Girls Paperie, Toil & Trouble – Writing on the Wall and Echo Park Little Boy Strawberry & Sky.

I have used Core-dinations Nightfall & Bazzill Kraft cardstock.

The white card I have used is ribbed, but I would have used some Core-dinations Snowflake, had I not run out!!! Black & White cardstock are two of my very favourite supplies and I get through so much of it!!

j'taime

For J’taime I have have embossed the Echo Park paper with the Script Cuttlebug Embossing folder and I have divided the two different papers by using some my2angels White Hearts Satin Ribbon.

The my2angels Silver Self Adhesive Rhinestone Heart was stuck onto the Echo Park paper, cut out and then mounted onto black cardstock and cut out again. ‘Love’ is Scrapware Chipboard Antique Lowercase Alphas, very lightly inked, the ‘o’ though is a my2angels Circle Pendant, covered with the embossed Echo Park paper and then a my2Angels Eiffel Tower charm added using a brad.

To complete the French theme I have used my Dymo to punch out a j’taime’ label!!

For this one I have used Kraft cardstock with the same papers Writing on the Wall.

I’ve used a couple of die cut labels and stuck them on to look like they wrap around the whole card.

I’ve then used some red embroidery thread to ‘sew’ them together.

The ‘Love’ is a my2angels Love Pin but I have chopped off the bottom of the pin (so sorry Tracy!!) and mounted it onto 2 die cut circles of nightfall cardstock.

I’ve fake stitched around the inside label.

Love Lock and Key

For the final one I’ve used white cardstock with the same papers, I love to play with all different coloured cardstocks with the same papers ... you get such different results.

I punched the edges of both papers and again divided them on my card by using my2angels Black with White Hearts satin ribbon.

I have tied onto the ribbon a my2Angels Large Silver Heart Locket and Love Key charm.

The 2 tiny hearts are Maya Road Trinket Pins and again I have used my Dymo to punch out the word Love which I have mounted on paper and then card and stuck onto my card with 3d tape.

I finished by applying some Inkssentials White Enamel to the holes made by the punching on the red paper.

and from Me Tracy

When Wendy sent through these cards from the The Girl Paperie papers it was a perfect excuse as I have been wanting to scrap using these papers for so long and 2 hours later I had completed a layout ... record time for me these days!

So using the Toil and Trouble Writing on the Wall papers with some Core-dinations Nightfall with droplets of Key Lime Pie Glimmer Mist and Marshmallow Glimmer Mist

added a strip of 100% boys ribbon to the side

Making some clouds using the scrapware cloud journaling bits as my template to tie our new rainbow and clouds charms with peapod baker twine around

Again making clouds but this time using the scrapware cloud journaling bits (will add the date and details when I figure it out!) our All Boy pin and our new cute little boy with cap charms

I also added a scrapware tree branch inked with peeled paint and lightly embossed with peeled paint (the perfect medium for our chipboard trees and whoops guess who forgot to take a photo!)

and then a miracle happened I did another layout !!!!

a nice easy one, cause I didn't want to take away the focus from the photo which I love ...

Again using the The Girl Paperie Paper Range ... Paper Girl Blue Ledger Die Cut Paper

Tucked in behind the large blue gardenia is a Pink Paislee Artisan Element Frame
with Blue and white stemmed flowers to frame the photo

Also used our Adore Self Adhesive Rhinestones

and on the scrapware alyssa flourish I covered with Baby Blue Liquid Pearls, using my finger to smooth it out then adding to the flourish the new Ocean Blue Liquid Pearls (YUMMY colour!)

Hope you have had a fantastic start to your week

I am off to confirm our order for the Graphic 45 Curtain Call - can't wait to get my hands on it - you can see what we are ordering here
