Graphic 45 layouts

Graphic 45 with Geli

I had some papers left from Graphic 45's "Once upon a springtime" collection. I was thinking it'd be fun to use it in a masculine sort of way and I had just the right photos of my grandfather.

Obviously I didn't want too many fairies on it, but the backs of the papers are really awesome too. I used Tiny Treasures, Woodland Fantasy and Pixie Post

To create the mosaic-style circle, cut 18 squares of 1 1/4 x 1 1/4" and round off 2 opposite corners.

I totally love the felt ribbon ... they're so easy to use and make an instant fancy border.

I added a bit of yellow baker's twine to break it up, a cute painted scrapware bird cage and some of the awesome family and memory pins with a few green and brown leaves and brown stemmed flowers which I sprayed with a little gold glimmer mist first

So it wouldn't look dull I took the last of my metal silver stars and scattered them around my embelly clusters.

With my leftovers I made 2 tags for friends with birthdays.

I thought they make a nice change from the normal birthday card. The Graphic 45 Woodland Fantasy paper is so cute, you really don't have to do much to it.

Just add a few flowers, like the pink and white stemmed flowers and a gardenia, with a musical charm and a Dream Rhinestone word

It's so easy, it's almost like cheating!
So I made another one, this time using up some more leftovers like the scrapware branch and a my2angels timepiece with a butterfly charm and some gold stamens

Psst, just don't tell my friends who easy that was!

and from me Tracy with Curtain Call

When I first saw the Graphic 45 Curtain Call papers, I instantly thought to cover a notebook, you know distressed black inked edges with lots of Tim Holtz embellishments, well that plan got put on hold when I found these photos of my DS pre-school graduation and his pre school mid year concert .... PERFECT papers

Using nightfall core dinations as my base that I sprayed with Black Magic Glimmer Mist ... love the gold tint in this mist!

I then cut the frame out from the Graphic 45 Curtain Call papers (see picture below) and mounted it using foam mounting tape

And cutting the film strip from Curtain Call The Cinema for the background, see ...
and I also cut out two of the pictures and used as the frame for my photos

Adding a few of the Curtain Call tags (reverse side) with Carolees Creations Tiny Etch Natural Alphas and our new black tassels

Scrapware lowercase antique mini alphas which I inked first with Tim Holtz Barn Door then while wet applied Antique Linen Crackle paint (yip I know the "n" doesn't have the red tint, couldn't find the first "n" I did, amongst all my mess so redid it but durrrh forgot to ink first! )

Adding some more colour I added a strip of red velvet ric rac since DS was wearing a red top

And lastly adding one of our camera charms

and then I did this one of my DS's preschool In the Garden concert (no matter how much I played with this it still looks orange!)

Making a frame from nightfall core dinations then adding curtains made from Curtain Call paper (this was the middle piece left from making the frame from the previous layout) and tied with a black tassels

The background for the title was using a small piece of The Cinema
the letter are making memories which we use to stock

then I made another sign attached with antique bronze jump rings
the titles are Carolees Creations Tiny Etch Natural Alphas and Carolees Creations Etched Natural Alphas

The steps at the bottom (well that was what they were suppose to look like) is from Tour de France. I also used a piece of this in the previous layout behind the photos

And lastly, keeping in with the garden theme (so DS couldn't argue with me about having flowers on his layout) added brown stemmed flowers, brown and black flowers, a spider charm, lizard charm and scrapware mini grass

TFL

Hope you are all having a fab week
