Starting School Scrapbooking Layout

Starting School Scrapbooking Layouts - I had to do it I couldn't stand looking at my first attempt of my page I did for Mark's first day of school way back in 2002. I mean truly, they say don't redo your pages as it shows your journey and growth in scrapbooking blah blah blah but really would you have been able to look at these two pages (note I have inserted them as small photos - why would I have them big???)

Shocking I know. Here is the latest version with no stickers or cutting of photos. I have used the Kaisercraft Lovestruck Range , our cute ruler charm and ABC Book Charms. Also I finally got to use my Kaisercraft Doddled Alphabet Clear Stamps. Our organza ribbon which comes in 7 different colours are perfect for tying charms.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Brads - tips and examples of using them

Tips for using Brads - so I set myself the task or should I say challenge of using brads, a product I haven't used in a very long time. I am a firm beliver of using the products we have at www.my2angels.net because how can I recommend or even give tips of using our products if I don't use them myself. Also I want to ensure that they are easy to use, not faulty and good valve for money.

This is a page I have finally finished, which I had sitting around for over a week. I had 3/4s of it completed but I just couldn't finish it! Our crystal brads, glitter brads and metal brads have all been used. (One day I will figure out how to upload my pages larger so you don't have to click on them to get a bigger view! If anyone knows to do this, please let me know.)

All products, except the pens I used, are available at our website, including the corner love stamp which arrived last week.

As you can see I have used our pink crystal brads as the dot for the "i". You can use your brads in all in sorts of ways for your titles, and I will include more examples in further posts.

I used rub ons for the pink metal brads and drew a white heart onto the black metal brad and finished them off with dimensional magic. Wait for the white pen to be touch dry before putting on the DM. I am so impatience and always have to touch things to see how dry they are, (causing many redo's in the past) so thankfuly I finished this page at 1 this morning so the white pen was left to dry overnight. The black hearts I took off the heart border from our Kaisercraft "All Girl" rub ons.

And lastly, I used our glitter brads to embellished our self adhesive pink scrolll ribbon.

I hope I have has given you some ideas, or a reminder of using brads in your creations.

Kaisercraft Scrapbooking Pattern Papers

Kaisercraft Scrapbooking Pattern Papers in store. We have over 94 double sided pattern papers from Kaisercraft ranging in themes from Christmas, Boys, Girls to Retro papers.

Just arrived to my2angels is their collection of Lovestruck and Sweets (as mentioned in previous posts)

Great value at $1.30.

All papers are posted in pizza boxes for protection and at a flat rate postage fee of $2.70, unluck most places that charged you postage from $5.40.

And wait there is more! You also receive a free thank you gift with every order (not not a set of steak knives). Each month this changes so keep an eye out for your newsletter from us advising you what the current months gift is.

What I love about these papers is, because they are doubled sided there is no hassle in trying to find two pattern papers to match your layouts and quite often I only need a sheet of cardstock and 1 sheet of pattern paper to complete pages. Pretty economical wouldn't you say?

All these papers are listed under the Pattern Papers section or just click here

PS Check out the new awesome acrylic clear doodling alphabets stamps in our stamp section, I can't wait to try these. Stay tuned for my next posted layout using them.

Brads have arrived - Plaid Fabric, Crystal and Metal Brads

Brads - I have to admit that I don't use them very often they remind me of my early scrapbooking days, and now when I look at many of those pages I wonder what was I thinking! But it nice to see how much I have learnt and grown in the past 6 years. After much research I find that brads are still a very popular scrapbooking and cardmaking item which is why I have ordered some in and challenged myself to using these versatile embellishments.

We have 3 types of brads - 7mm metal in 10 colours, 8mm crystal in 10 colours and 12mm fabric plaid brads in 5 colours. These will be on our website, with much better photos, later tonight (Tuesday 27th)

And as they say on the cooking shows, here is one I made earlier, in the anticipation of receiving this order.

Over the next week or so I will be adding more posts with ideas on using our brads to remind those who need it, how we can add them to our creations. Warning though, if you drop one YOU MUST locate it, as they *^&%&*!* hurt when you stand on them with bare feet! True Story!

http://www.urbanfonts.com/free-fonts.htm

and

http://www.fontspace.com/ This site allows to you type in your words to preview it before downloading

Because I have so much time on my hands - Not! And with only 1 and a half days to go before school starts I have finally got myself around to covering Sarah's school books and making labels using the fonts from these two great sites. See example photo, which you can click on to enlarge

These sites have great fonts for your scrapbooking page titles, cards or journalling.
