Introducing ....

Introducing our first embellishment range for 2012 designed and made by my2angels ...

Charming Florals
A delicate collection of filigree and lace
adorned with a butterfly and pearl charming chain

Whether you add them to your Off the Page project or tag; use them as the centerpiece for a card;

or make them a feature embellishment on a layout, Charming Florals will provide you with a beautiful and unique handmade embellishment to adorn your project.

Hang them off a bookmark; or staple them to a folded paper corner; dangle them  from a cluster of flowers or tie them to a chipboard swirl - there is no limit to the places you can embellish with a Charming Floral.

Each Charming Floral measures approximately 5.5cm in length x 2.5cm
$1.99 each

Of course I had to have a play with some of our Charming Florals.  To start with, here’s the OTP Photo Frame Box you may remember me mentioning back in December (I’ve finally finished it).

I started by covering an old box with Bo Bunny Enchanted Collection papers and then added one of our Black Scroll Felt Frames as a Photo Frame (using a piece of acetate to protect the photo from dust etc).  One of our Love Pins is the perfect addition to the side of the frame.

On the front, our Silver and Red Charming Floral backed with a Red and White Mulberry Flower and one of our Silver Flower Wrap Filigrees provides a feature embellishment

Birds Eye View

Looking from above, you can spot one of our gorgeous I Love you Note Pad Charms amongst a cluster of flowers (various styles – but doesn’t the red, white and black look stunning together?), red rhinestones and one of the new antique silver leaf charms.

The glass cabochons (in a variety of sizes) have been firstly painted with Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint (ETA 20th Jan) and then given a thin layer of black paint.

together with some White Roses and White Lilies sprayed with Key Lime Pie Glimmer Mist.

And finally -  shock horror - my 3rd card for the year!

And last, but certainly not least, we’d like to introduce Jenni Hodge. Jenni is our guest DT for this month and she has created this ‘pretty in blue’ layout using our Silver and Blue Charming Floral.  I can't wait to see more gorgeous work from Jen (who has the complete collection of Charming Florals to play with).

Another gorgeous photo that I have been dying to scrap for so long, this time it's my DS Riley...

I didn't want to lose the innocence in the photo by making it a real "boy" layout so wanted it softer...  Tracy at my2angels answered my prayers the other day when she handed me a brand new product - an embellishment kit in blues with some flowers and a gorgeous altered flower with a charm - called Charming Florals (she is sooo good at these - checkout her charming chains too!!).

Naturally as I'm so addicted to her gorgeous hat pins I had to add one to the layout too :-)

I had fun glimmer-misting the chipboard and then using enamels to make the bird blue - but my favourite part of that is sewing it to the page with my machine (who says they are really for material and making clothes)!!!

I also love my new Tim Holtz Tab Die  and how perfectly the little stamped saying fits.  I have hand journaled on the patterned paper (did you see it straight off or did you have to look for it?).  The chipboard foliage  breaks up the blue -  nicely; I really like the way they all sit behind the fence and only the charming flower is hanging over!  I love the definition inking around the edges gives - my tried and true favourite technique I think!!

Ingredients:
PP - Autumn Leaves from about 2004!
Tattered Angels Glimmer mists - Forest Green and Sea Glass
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Stormy Sky (ETA 20th Jan)
Tim Holtz Alterations Tab Die
Tim Holtz Distress Stickles - clear rock candy - on the top part of the fence (you can't see it in the photo)

Back with some more creations soon

Jen
