Christmas and New Years Eve Layouts

Starting off the new year with Wendy ...

Just a quick LO to share today ...... one I did last year (LOL!) using one of Tracy's Christmas embellishment tutorials last month .... I really really love this Bakers Twine!!!

I have used some Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Delight Papers, ’ Tis the Season Stripe-Starry Night’ for the background and ‘Peppermint Mix-Frosty Mint Fa La La’ for the green panel. I have wrapped some Bakers Twine ‘Maraschino Red & White’ around the green panel and tied on a My2Angels Christmas tree charm.

Next I took a Scrapware Mini Fence (one of my absolute fav embellies!) and painted it using 'Ruby Red' Liquid Pearls, then I inked the top of the fence with white ink and added some Ranger White Embossing Puffs for some snow! I also inked and Crackle Accented a Scrapware Mini Holly and used the ‘Ruby Red’ Liquid Pearls for the berries.

My title and the snow flake are die cuts and I used Kindy Glitz on the letters and Diamond Dust on the snowflake! The ’10 for the date are Sassafras ‘Apple Jack’ Glitter Stickers.

For the red candy lollies I have used an idea Tracy put on the blog a couple of weeks ago, only I didn’t use the lollipop charms, I just used the Bakers Twine and some punched circles. The stems are some My2Angels Silver Acrylic Chain with Rhinestones .
So easy to make and yet so effective.

Thanks for looking!
Catch you again soon

And from me Tracy,
Starting my year off with a bang! 4 layouts to share with you ....

If I have the same photo of the angels I make one layout for each of their albums, which is what I have done today

Here is DD's layout using the Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Delight Paper Range

Lots of present charms under the tree and individually cut presents from LYB Christmas Delight All Wrapped up pp
which is also used for the background of my tree

If you are wondering how I did the tree well here are some photos which was going to be a step by step but Christmas got in the way then I started on the new embellishment range and ...
well time just disappeared on me (:
so here is a quick run down

Fold back, scrunch and ink
Using a sharp item (I used my most used tool a tailor awl) to punch holes for the glitter brads

Criss cross white organza ribbon around the brads starting from the bottom of your tree

Tie a knot at the top and cut.

The knot is covered by our felt star which is highlighted with stickles
Place your pattern paper behind and cover the bottom with presents

Here is Mark's layout using the The Girls Paperie Paper range (my fav for the moment LOL!)

I cut out a tree and added black cotton ric rac with diamond dust and topped it with a black felt embossed star highlighted with lime green stickles

Added present charms, ribbon charms and hand cut presents which I edged with stickles

Happy New Year Layouts

Cutting out a star from corrugated cardboard and painting it white & pink (with a spray of Marshmallow Glimmer Mist) attaching it to the pattern paper
Our New Years Eve pins tied with black organza ribbon

Adding lots of metal textured stars and rhinestones
Made a little star out of painted cardboard then tied pink bakers twine and mini black gardenia with a double star charm around it

Scrapware Clock hand covered with stickles
Pink gardenia with a white tag for the journalling

Pink Paislee Twilight Dusk is the background pattern paper used with Pink Paislee Twilight Eclipse for the circle

Adding lots of metal textured stars and rhinestones
Made a little star out of black painted cardboard and tied mandarin bakers twine and with a double star charm
To finish attached one of our New Years Eve pins

I hope the New Year brings you lots of inspiration and time to create
See you soon
