Some Scrapping Fun

Scrapping Fun

Geli organised a group of friends to come and visit me yesterday

I organised a mini make and take and most importantly they did what girls do so well ...

SHOPPING

My scrapping table fits 6 so with 10 ladies we moved the lounge around and we took over the dining room as well then got down and dirty with glimmer mist and scrapware chipboard

Here are our wonderful creations:

Some of them talked me into organising an OTP class for them in a month or so
If anyone is interested in attending (it will probably be an all day'er email me and I will let you know the details when I have them)

And I will be doing it all over again next month with another group of 10 ladies from the Northern End of NSW ... I can't wait, it's one of the best part of the job ... meeting, talking and having fun with so many fun and talented ladies

When I was tidying up before the ladies arrived (trying to pretend to Geli that I work in a tidy manner) I found a birthday card (whoops I should tidy up more often!) that I made a few months back and gave up on looking for it but ta da I found it!

Using our Greeting Cards, I embossed a piece of snowflake core dinations cardstock with Tim's Rays Texture Fades Embossing Folder which I randomly covered with Wild Honey Distress Ink using my Ink Blending Tool then swipped it with the ink pad for a darker ink effect on the raised parts from the embossing
then randomly added some Orange Rhinestones

The Scrapware Happy Birthday I first covered with Gold Paint Dabber and then a light inking with Wild Honey (I like how it didn't fully cover the chipboard)

Covering a circle of scrap chipboard with orange rhinestone for the sun

The Scrapware Flourish Cloud was first painted with Metallic Pearl Paint Dabber and I outlined it with White Opal Liquid Pearls.  The inner of the cloud is painted with Rock Candy Crackle paint and lastly,

Don't forget you only have until Wednesday night to receive 30% off ALL BIRTHDAY PRODUCTS

And before I go a BIG THANK YOU to Mum and Keonie for all their help yesterday in processing the orders online and so much more

I am so grateful and lucky to have such a great friend in Keonie

and mum, she now knows how to do an order online LOL she usually does a shop then informs me what to take off stock BUT IN HER DEFENCE when she is here she tidies up and the washing usually gets washed and folder (I don't know how she folds so perfectly!)
AND last night I went to bed and found it MADE!!!!
It looked like a hotel maid had been in the room the blanket folded at the end of the bed, pillows all perfectly lined up
the only thing missing was a chocolate on my pillow PML

Thanks Mum

Thanks Keonie

and now from LISA
(Guest DT for August)

My daughter Teleah  turned 6 back in June and she had a scrapbook  party ( hmm-  what a good idea -  I had one or two items I could use!!!!).
I set up a photo  booth and  we took photos of her and all her friends and then I printed them off and they scrapped their photos and also decorated their party boxes for their lollies.

SO I have had  the perfect photos for the fabulous Websters LETS CELEBRATE papers.
I LOVE  fussy cutting and these papers just SCREAM  for it so of course I had to oblige!!

Here is my second layout using these fabulous papers

Birthday Creations and new arrivals

How gorgeous are the new “Victoria’s Garden” papers by Echo Park! You can get everything I used on my2angels

Here are a couple of layouts I made using some new goodies:

I used a new large rose with my2angels pink, white and green leaves.

The left side was painted with some gesso.

The new thin green leaves make a nice easy accent too.

My friends and I are making an album for a friend who turns 40 and I made a cover page for her.

It hasn’t got a photo (she’s quite camera shy), but the tags and the rhinestone word get to take center stage. I covered the 40 with German glitter glass. (cover your chipboard in Dimensional Magic and sprinkle the glitter glass on top)

The Scrapware Loni Flourish was covered with 2 coats of embossing powder and some glitter.

Last I added some butterflies (from the Butterfly and Flower packs). I used the white ones and sprayed them with 2 different glimmer mists. Being white makes them so easy to colour!

Birthday Cards and some new beads

Happy Birthday Card

Hi all...Corrina here,
The wonderful Jess has given up a well of inspiration with her fantastic Birthday Layout Sketch, so why not use it to its fullest potential and create a card from it as well? Here is one I prepared earlier LOL...

I used the sketch to inspire me on the placement of the papers and embellishments and greeting on this card. I used Echo Park Little Boy Papers (but you could just as easily do this layout with any bright and funky papers from our store, such as the Websters Let’s Celebrate range). I punched a scallop border from the Echo Park Little Boy Buttons paper (orange side) then layered them up on the card.

I covered a scrapware butterfly in some  Tattered Angels Rockin’ Renaissance Crepe ribbon (the music note one) and then spritzed it with Blue Denim glimmer mist, and inked the edges with blue ink and finished off with 3 little loose pearls glued into place. I inked up a chipboard circle with blue ink, and placed them in the bottom left corner with a M2A orange mulberry flower.

Ta dah! Card!
Hugs x

Materials Used:
Cardstock and papers: blue cardstock, Echo Park Little Boy Buttons paper, Echo Park Little Boy Strawberry Cardstock, Echo Park Little Boy Stars paper (or why not try our new Websters Let’s Celebrate range!), Tattered Angels Rockin’ Renaissance Crepe Ribbon.
Embellishments: chipboard butterfly, chipboard circle, Orange Mulberry Flower, 5mm Cream Pearls, white happy birthday rub on.

Hi Wendy here,

For some reason I love working with green papers!! Looking back on my work I have noticed it crops up ALL the time!!! And green spots are one of my absolute favourites!

This card has been made using Core-dinations Snowflake cardstock and Pink Paislee Hometown, Green Acres paper, both sides of this paper are great, I used the spotted side on my August sketch layout.

I’ve added one of the Summer Border Stickers with Glitter (flags) and some Punch Outs (which are now unfortunately out of stock), a cute boy on a skateboard and the journaling tag.

I mounted the boy punch out on black cardstock and used Foam Mounting Tape to raise it off the card. I again used Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink around the edges of my papers and the white card. I finished off with a Bo Bunny ‘Life is Good’ sticker for my greeting.
AND

Happy Birthday to You

My second card is a bright red card using more of the Pink Paislee Hometown Summer range, this time Heatwave.

This is also a real ‘happy’ paper, perfect for birthday cards and layouts!
I punched the edge of my card, made using Core-dinations Snowflake cardstock, I then cut the Heatwave paper to fit and again punched the edge of it to match my card.

I cut my paper to leave some white showing on both sides of the card and then added a ‘watermelon’ border from the PP Hometown Summer Border Stickers with Glitter.

However, I then covered the middles of the watermelons with ‘asterisks’ from the Black AC Thickers Daiquiri alpha and added a Bo Bunny Ad Lib Leaf sticker.
The greeting is a small sticker stuck on with Foam Mounting Tape to which I have added a my2angels Rainbows with Cloud charm above and a rub on ‘To You’ below. I used a black pen to ‘stitch’ around the edges of the patterned paper on both sides.

Inside the card, I added a slim strip of the Heatwave paper and a small circle sticker and again pen ‘stitched’ around it.

and from me, Tracy

With a terrible photo of my card,
but yah we finally have some rain here on the Gold Coast
so had to scan my card instead

using our rhinestone circles, new circle beads and our roses (large and small)

and the inside I sprayed Glimmer Mist over a Scrapware Happy Birthday words

We have also got more new beads in stock
Great for embellishments or making hatpins

Happy Wednesday everyone

Bo Bunny Birthday Cards

Bo Bunny Birthday Cards

As this month is Tracy's 3rd Birthday Celebration at my2angels I thought I would make up a set of cute boy's birthday cards with the Blast Off Bo Bunny range.

This paper range is perfect for little boy's birthday cards as it's so bright and fun, I also teamed it with some Pink Paislee Hometown Summer as the star pattern went perfectly with the space theme.

Happy Birthday

The first card was made by layering the papers with the central piece being the Bo Bunny cut outs. I added a red Felt Star and a chipboard spaceship from the Scrapware Blast Off set which I painted, glossed with Inkssentials Glossy Accents and added some topaz rhinestones for the lights. Just add your own greeting stamp or use some small alphas like Carolee's tiny alpha stickers.

Blast Off

The second card I used one of the larger Bo Bunny cut outs and used glossy accents on the rockets to make them stand out then layered with Pink Paislee paper. I used a felt star (they come in a set of four) and layered it with a Scrapware chipboard rocket from the Blast Off set which was embossed with a Sizzix Retro circles embossing folder, then painted and covered with glossy accents. I also painted and glossed the words from the Scrapware chipboard set for my greeting.

You're A Star

On the last card I used some Teresa Collins Cookbook tags pp for the star border frame which was the perfect size to use a strip of Felt Star ribbon for the background of the frame. To make the felt stars shine I used Ranger Ice Stickle Glitter Glue in the centres. I hand cut some elements from the Bo Bunny papers to make some embellishments and added one of Tracy's Double Star Charms to tie in with the theme and finished off with a few touches of Crystalina Kindyglitz.

Cheers
Cathy :)))
