Day 4 Christmas Cards - Tis the season

Christmas ‘Tis the Season Card

By Corrina

Materials Used:

Papers: Basic Grey Jovial Crush Velvet and Pomegranate, A5 Kraft Card (made mine from Bazzill Kraft)

Embellishments: Basic Grey Jovial Cardstock Diecuts, Scrapware mini holly (back in stock early next week), small red ric rac, loose silver rhinestones, red flower, olive flower.

Product Used: marker pens, crystallina Kindyglitz, PVA glue, Tim Holtz Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.

1. Using marker pens, colour in one of the tiny scrapware holly. (I used brush marker but your good old crayolas will also do the trick!)

2. Lay the card landscape with the opening down (don’t laugh; I sometimes glue things onto cards upside down!!). Cover the top 2/3rd with a piece of Jovial crush velvet. Cover the bottom 1/3rd with some Jovial Pomegranate. Go around the edges with a little Aged Mahogany Distress ink.

3. Stick the ‘Tis The Season diecut onto the card along the join, and off to the right. When we add the flowers etc we effectively give the illusion that it goes all the way across or “stretches” as it is known. Add the red flower, then cover the top edge of the diecut with ric rac, making sure the edge goes all the way under the flower.

4. Layer up the red flower with the olive flower and the piece of holly. Add a smear of Kindyglitz to the holly, and highlight the white dots on the background paper with Kindyglitz. Highlight the little Christmas tree and the greeting on the diecut. Add 5 loose rhinestones onto the diecut under the greeting.

Only 2 days left to get 12% off Basic Grey Jovial and LYB Christmas Delight Pattern Papers (excluding die cuts & stickers)

See you tomorrow
