Cog-gratulations cards

The pack includes all you need to suite a range of styles, pages, cards and any paper crafting project, there are papers designed especially for the quick scrapper, who wants to just place a photo and add a few embellishments and they are done. There is also a few designs made for the fussy cutter in mind, the poetical and patches papers, are full of elements that can be cut and used not only on pages but also cards and mini albums. The reverse of most of the patterned papers, have simple patterned designs for the cardmaker to use as backgrounds, or the scrapbooker to use in mixed media or off the page. Included are greens, blues, creams and of course pinks, covering a variety of needs for the avid papercrafter. Home Before Christmas!

This is my last blog post before I rush out the door and onto a flight for freezing London and my brand new grandchild! 

BUT - I will be home in time for Christmas - so decided to use Kaisercraft's Home for Christmas range for my layout.

Inspiration for this layout came from the brand new Chippie and Charm packs available now at my2angels. This one is called Candid Camera, and contains two chipboard Filmstrips - slightly different in size, a chipboard ''Smile'' inside a scribbled circle and three silver charms - a camera, a small ''laugh'' charm and a larger ''Remember the Moments'' pendant charm.

I printed my photos in a filmstrip style - these were taken last Christmas - and arranged them between the two chipboard pieces. All my chipboard was heat embossed using the Emboss-It Dabber and White Embossing Powder. The embossing is two or three layers thick, giving it that nice almost pure white look.

A piece of Green & White Bakers Twine is looped in and around the bottom of the film strips and photos, and I have threaded the three silver charms from the kit onto it.

The cute ''Smile'' chipboard sits at the top, offset on a Christmas Memories sticker from the Home for Christmas Sticker sheet included in the paper pack.

The flowers are White Pointsettias, White Cherry Blossoms, White Hip Rosebuds, White Stamen Berry Spray Clusters, Green Foam Artificial Berries with Sugar Coating and Green 1cm Roses.

Also scattered around the page are some dots made with Evergreen Pearl Drops and a few Clear Rhinestone Dots. The two Christmas Tickets in the photo below are also stickers from the Kaisercraft Home for Christmas Paper Pack.

Altered Canvas

Last weekend was a fun few days spent with a group of fabulous ladies who attended my 2 canvas classes.  It was amazing the variety of creations from everyone who choose to use different colours, not pink like I did, for their canvas.  

For those of you who prefer to create layouts only, it is easy to replicate the canvas as a layout.

Here is my layout version

Tucked in behind a cluster of flowers and fibers is our "Follow your Heart" charm

Another charm "I love you postcard", no layout is complete without a charm or two!

With one of our "Cap It"embellishment "A Mother's Treasure is her daughter", to finish my layout off.

"Moments in Time" new Chippy and Charm Packs

A chippy and charm pack - what more could a scrapper want? Loving the Scrapmatts clock in the "Moments in Time" Kit available here  - I was tempted to find a few hours to scrap, just so I could use it.

For "To the Moon and Back" I've kept the design fairly simple, so that it focuses on the photo. This means your embellishment choices need to be spot on - and making them match well was a breeze with the "Moments in Time" Chippy and Charm Pack.

After cutting the chippy clock in half - I inked it silver with some Brilliance Inkpad Starlight Silver and added a touch of sparkle with some Kindyglitz. The roses and Hip rosebuds are some I bought from my2angels at the last Retreat. They were white - but I coloured them with some Aged Mahogany Distress Ink - (you can use either the Stain or the Re-inker) - which are both sadly oos at the moment.

Behind the butterfly is the largest of the silver clock charms from the "Moments in Time" Chippy and Charm Pack. At the bottom is the clock chippy from the kit.

The other half of the chippy clock went on the left side of the photo, along with more rosebuds etc and the small silver clock charm from the "Moments in Time" Chippy and Charm Pack. Using a bit of Ball and Chain, I linked the embellishment cluster to a silver large love charm. There is also a small transparent glass cabochon - which I have glued to a pretty scrap of the paper to make a matching embellishment.

The final silver clock from the "Moments in Time" Chippy and Charm Pack is in the embellishment cluster at the bottom of the layout.

Embellishing couldn't get any easier than this.

Don't forget the basics either - I used Kaiser Double-sided Tape, Kaiser Foam Tape, Premium Craft Glue and for the hard to reach, spot gluing - I used everyone's favourite (yes - it is back in stock - so grab some now) Turbo Precision Glue Pen.
