Christmas cards snowman Just for You

Materials Used:

Papers – Basic Grey Jovial Button Nose, Blizzard and Pomegranate, White a 5 card.

Embellishments – Basic Grey Jovial Cardstock Die Cuts, Red Acrylic Chain with Rhinestones

Product Used – Crystallina Kindyglitz, PVA glue, 3-d foam tape.

1. Cut out as many snowmen as you can stand to from the BG Button Nose paper (it can get a little tedious but it is worth it!!)

2. Cut a strip of Pomegranate approx 6 to 6 ½ cm wide. Adhere it across the centre of the card. Cut a 1cm strip of Blizzard paper the same length as the width of the card. Cut it in half and stick half along the top of the Pomegranate strip and half along the bottom.

3. Using PVA glue and a toothpick adhere the red rhinestone chain along the top and bottom edges of the Pomegranate paper. Place the Just For You diecut on the right hand side on a slight angle.

4. Choose 2 snowmen to stand either side of the diecut, and stick them on using 3-D foam tape. (I chose the cute little ones with glasses and birds on their heads..)

5. Start layering your snowmen... adhere 3 tall ones flat onto the card. This is your backline. Next layer up your smaller snowmen using 3-D foam tape, and place the front snowmen in the gaps between the larger ones. Finish the card off with a touch of Crystallina Kindyglitz on the snowmen clothes.

Christmas Cards Day 7 Snowflakes

Christmas Snowflake Charm Card

Materials Used:

Papers: Basic Grey Jovial Blizzard and Snowball Fight, White A5 card folded.

Embellishments: Basic Grey Jovial Writers Block, Silver Skeleton Leaves, Loose Silver Rhinestones, White Acrylic chain with Rhinestones, Large Snowflake charms, White organza ribbon.

Product Used: PVA glue, 3-D foam tape.

1. Cover the card with ½ blizzard paper green side and ½ blizzard paper snowflake side.

2. Cut a 1 inch (approx) strip of the Snowball fight. Place that running across the card, approx 2/3^rd down towards the bottom. Using PVA, glue strips of the white acrylic rhinestone chain along either edge of this strip.

3. Using PVA, glue a circle of loose rhinestones onto the journaling circle diecut. Leave to dry.

4. Stick down two skeleton leaves flat onto the card. Using foam tape, place circle on top of the mulberry leaves. Tie a small piece of organza ribbon through the hanging hole of the snowflake charm and glue onto circle. Glue a rhinestone to the middle of the snowflake charm.

Day 6 Christmas Cards - Snowmen

Christmas Snowman and Tree Card

Materials Used:

Papers: Basic Grey Jovial - Snowball Fight and Flannel PJ’s , white A5 card folded.

Embellishments: Basic Grey Jovial Cardstock Diecuts, Silver and White Acrylic Chain with Rhinestones, white organza ribbon.

Product Used: PVA, 3-D foam tape, Crystallina Kindyglitz.

1. Cover the front of the card with the Snowball fight paper half one side of the pattern paper, and half the other side. Cover the join with a small strip of Flannel PJ’s paper. (I used this paper as I had scraps left over from a previous card. You could use any contrasting coloured cardstock or paper.)

2. Cut a piece of the pattern paper 4cm wide by 5cm long. Draw a triangle on the back (the creamy coloured side) in pencil then cut it out. This is your tree. Glue on a little stem from scrap cardstock.

3. Decorate tree using little strips of the rhinestone chain. The easiest way to stick the chain down is to dab a little PVA glue on the back using a toothpick. Add a little organza ribbon bow.

4. Using 3-D foam tape, stick the Snowman diecut from the Jovial pack onto the centre of the card. Stick the little tree you created onto the diecut , positioned off to one side (also using 3-D foam tape.) Highlight the tree and the diecut with Kindyglitz.

Day 1 of our Step by Step Christmas Cards

Christmas Bauble Card

Materials Used:

Papers: Basic Grey Jovial – Flannel PJ’s, Shop Keeper, folded A5 card (I cut this from Kraft cardstock)

Embellishments: Basic Grey Jovial Cardstock Diecuts, Red Multi-coloured Acrylic Chain With Rhinestones.

Product Used: Crystallina Kindyglitz, PVA glue, Tim Holtz Aged Mahogany distress ink, 3-D foam tape, paint brush.

1. Carefully cut bauble from piece of Basic Grey Shop Keeper paper (take your time but don’t worry if the edges look a little rough

2. Cover the front of the card with a piece of the red side of Flannel Pj.s - this piece should cover the bottom 2/3’s. Cover the top 1/3 with a piece of the reverse side of the Shop Keeper paper.

3. Mix up a very small amount of half PVA glue/ half water in a tiny bowl (a milk bottle lid is excellent for this!).

Paint this solution all over the front of your cut out bauble and set aside to dry. This glue mix gives your cut out a little shine, flexibility and strength so the leaves are less likely to rip off when we stick it down

4. While the bauble dries, edge along the paper joins on the card with the red rhinestone strip. Notice I did NOT go all the way along as it will be hidden under the Jovial die cut.

Cut single rhinestones off the string and glue into the centre of the circle pattern on the paper (I used a toothpick dipped in PVA to do this.)

5. Finish off card by using 3-D foam tape to adhere die cut oval in place, then use 3-D tape to stick bauble on off centre so you get a little peek of the printed baubles on the diecut.

Add a red rhinestone to the bow on the large bauble, and finish off by highlighting all the baubles with a bit of Kindyglitz.
