Black and White with a dash of red and pink

Here are my takes on the black and white theme for the month

First up is Black White and Red

The background is scarlett core dinations cardstock and the die cut shape is painted corrugated cardboard and some white paint "wiped" over it. Also added is our white cotton ric rac and red multi-coloured acrylic chain

And since Mark doesn't appreciate flowers on his layouts (no idea why? What is with 13 year old boys these days PML) so I created an explosion of felt love hearts

The LOVE is from Buzz and Bloom Be Mine.
The white outer piece I inked and covered with Inkssentials Crackle Accent .
The inner words is Liquid Pearls Ruby Red

The keyhole is chipboard cut from Tim Holtz Alterations Hardware Findings, inking it black first then coating with Picket Fence Rock Candy

Using our silver twist chain I attached our circle pendant with pattern paper inside then covering with Inkssentials Crackle Accent.

Next time I think I will try wiping some walnut stain or vintage photo ink over the crackle to give it a vintage feel.
The pattern paper is 7gypsies adore which is in the 50% off specials section
For a small piece of journalling our white tags are perfect - that's our large silver key in there as well

My 2nd Black and White piece, not totally happy with the outcome or the photos but I do love the embellishments.
It was intended to be a photo frame for display but it doesn't stand up so well (durrh!)

First I coated the entire Scrapware Chipboard Dressing Screens (oh and by the way you get 6 screens in the packet ... GREAT VALUE!)

Corrugated cardboard butterfly covered in distress crackle black soot paint and for the body is a Tim Holtz Trinket Pin

Middle piece top flourish has been coated in black diamond stickles and also the scrapware butterfly (love these sheet of butterflies have you checked them out?

Another scrapware butterfly covered in black diamond stickles and a pink love engraved felt heart with maya road trinket pins

The title is made up of the new Scrapware Antique Lowercase Mini Alphas covered in distress crackle black soot paint on top of our black rhinestone scroll

Chipboard butterfly covered in picket fence rock candy and edges with black diamond stickles and centred with a black gardenia lightly covered in diamond dust.

Contacting the frames together at the bottom is our silver twist chain

and the tops joined with jump rings and also dangling thingies I made (dunno what you would call them!)

so easy to make!
Eye pins
Spacer Beads
Clear drop pendants
Black pearl bead

thread them through the eye pin, applying dimensional magic between each piece and finished off with a piece of organza ribbon easy peasy

That's all from me for now
Have a fantastic day

Love the embellies you use! Great LO (and pfft 13 yr olds don't listen to us so why should we listen to them LOL)...If the screen doesn't stand up so well then stick it all down on some cardstock, pop it into a frame et voila! Wonderful and unique framed layout :) C x
