Design Teams Creations for March

This month the Design Team were given the choice to create what they wanted (except for some Easter creations which we will share later on in the month, I know scary ah? School holidays will be here again before we know it!).

Tracey starts off the month ...

I liked the idea of using a "Christmas" PP for this. I don't think it looks like a Christmas PP anymore and I like the combo of red, pink and green. Can you see the tag I glimmer misted at the bottom of the flower cluster. It's hanging with one of the camera charms and a princess crown charm.

Next Taryn ...

The Teresa Collins Friendship range from My2Angels was just gorgeous to use. For this layout of myself and my friend Kim, I chose Teresa Collins Friendship McKays Flowers, and Teresa Collins Friendship Quotes, along with Black Scroll Felt frame, black rhinestone scroll, Blue Arcrylic Charm, pearls, rhinestone words friends, star flowers light blue, Websters Pages Ball Trim.

I was able to use the McKays Flowers paper for some handmade flowers, which I trimmed with Tracy's pearls, and Round Acrylic Charm. The flowers still needed an extra lift, so I added some blue and white star flowers, and the black rhinestone scroll.

I agree Taryn, the friendship papers are just beautiful and an unusual blue/teal colour. Teresa has an elegant style check out her blog here AFTER you have finished reading the rest of the blog LOL. I will also be receiving similar drop clear pendants that she uses a lot, ETA mid March. Will be a great accessory to our jump rings.

Corrina's first project for March - a layout called "Flower Thief"...

Materials Used: White cardstock, Kaiser Waterberry Papers - Delicious; and Enticing, Tim Holtz crackle paint - picket fence (coming soon to my2angels), Tim Holtz Crackle accents, kindyglitz, Carolees Creations Word Play - Tiny Retro, AC Thickers - Jewelry Box, Versa Color Ink Cubes - Rose Red & Sage,Versamark stamp pad - watermark, sparkle embossing powder, Kaiser Clear Stamps - Flourish Journals, Stampendous Perfectly Clear Stamps - flutterfly friends, flower stamp, silver beading wire, green and red seed beads,a piece of scrap tulle.

This very naughty little kitty had a bad habit of stealing prima flowers off my desk and eating them, and one night I caught her in the act!!!
For this layout, I inked the edge of a sheet of white cardstock with the rose red ink. I roughly cut a patterned strip from the fabulous Kaiser Waterberry Delicious paper, then distressed it and gave it a wee little rip.
I cut the flowers from the sheet of Kaiser Waterberry Enticing paper, layered them, crackle accented part of them, then edged them in a little kindyglitz.
I took a strip from the Enticing paper and curled it ion a corkscrew and placed next to the largest flower. I stamped the little butterfly onto white cardstock using versamark watermark and embossed it with clear powder.
I coloured it using watercolour pencils and a waterbrush to get the resist effect. The antennae are beading wire with seed beads.
The word 'flower' is from the word play tiles that I altered with Rose Red ink and Sage ink.
The journalling box is a Kaiser flourish journal and is stamped with the red ink and embossed with sparkle powder, inked and finished with a flower and a touch of kindyglitz. I cut a piece of white tulle into a semi circle, gave it a decorative edge, inked the edge lightly then stamped it all over with the flower stamp.
The main photo is mounted onto chipboard then I have painted around the edge and onto the edge of the photo with picket fence crackle paint.

I love your flowers Corrina and its nice to see such a great layout making use of older papers

And from Wendy ...

For this LO I have inked and used crackle accents on the scrapware Fence, Mini Grass, Journalling Block and the Heart (which is Scrapware but you don't have them in the shop it is from their Lace Hearts set)Noted Wendy will check them out when I place my next order;) I also used red ink and crackle accent on the black Thickers 'a' in the title. I have also used the Carolee Creations black mini letters in the title and on the journalling block. The papers I have used are Rose Moka Pied de poule and LYB Grunge dot brown which i have inked with white and brown inks respectively.

I love the vibrant colours you have used on fence and grass, Wendy, they jump out at you, gives the page dimension. LOVE IT.

And introducing my2angels first guest designer Ann Lavin ...

As you can see I have used Websters Papers.
Background paper. La boutique. de. jardin
I have cut the frame out of Paris couture to frame the picture
I also cut out the roses and leaves layered them at the bottom each side and I have glued a couple of little mushroom charms and a little charm butterfly is placed near the birds nest.on the background.
At the bottom of the frame two of the flowers are from the Gardenia patch and one stemmed star flower dark pink and white
The leaves near the pink flower I have cut out of Paris Couture paper then I have bent and shaped them to give them more of a dimensional realistic look.
I have tied a bird charm with some string at the bottom of the flower cluster.
The flourishes are Scrapware and lace is cotton No 2.
I have inked and distressed the edges of the background and the frame.
Everything I have used is available at my2angels

Thanks Ann, its a gorgeous layout and what beautiful eyes she has! You can check out more of Ann's work over at her blog Raggedyann's Playground. Ann actually lives only a few minutes drive from me but we have never yet meet! Go figure!

One day Ann I will take you up on that offer of a coffee then I don't have to scan the local shopping centre to see if I can see / guess you LOL.

Anyhow on that note must get away, have another scrapware house to finish (99% completed), I know I know its another addiction to add to my ever growing list!!! :)
