Christmas Traditions Poinsettia Card
By Corrina

Materials Used:

Papers – Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Delight Merry & Bright Bands paper, red coredinations cardstock made into a 6inch square card.

Embellishments: Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Delight Journal Tablet, My 2 Angels Poinsettia Mulberry Flowers, Gold Acrylic Flower Chain With Rhinestones

Products used: PVA glue

1. Cut the presents strip from the LYB Bright Bands paper. Stick along the front of the card approx 2/3rd down the card.

2. Using PVA glue, adhere the gold acrylic flower chain along the bottom of the present paper strip.

3. Attach the A Special Gift journal tablet onto the top ½ of the card. Glue the poinsettias into position so the greeting can be read.

4. Cut the Christmas traditions heading off one of the LYB journaling diecuts (the red and cream one), and attach just below the poinsettias but above the gold acrylic chain.

Finish the card off by cutting a thin decorative strip from the LYB Bright Bands paper and stick along the top and bottom edge of the card.

The Poinsettias are currently in transit and we expect them to arrive before 1st December (touch wood!) They are a new set and packaged in organza bags - make a nice stocking filler for a scrapping buddy or yourself :)

Day 3 Christmas Cards - Christmas Tree

Christmas Tree Card

By Corrina

Materials Used:

Papers: Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Morning, Little Yellow Bicycle Tis the Season Stripe/Starry Night and Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Delight Peppermint Mix/ Frosty Mint Fa La La, A5 Kraft Card folded (Bazzill Kraft is perfect for this)

Embellishments: Red Acrylic Rhinestone chain

Product: PVA glue, Crystallina Kindyglitz, 3-D foam tape.

1. Cut out the Christmas tree from the Christmas Morning paper (being careful to retain the cute little presents for a future project.) – A little note here: the star will fall off so don’t worry, you can glue it back on later.

2. Cover the front of the card with a piece of the Frosty Mint Fa La La paper. Look closely at the Starry Night paper and you will see some wiggly lines in the pattern. Carefully cut a piece along these lines and adhere just below halfway down the card. (For this I had a star on the line so I cut an extra star out to layer it 3-D style)

3. Using PVA glue stick the rhinestone chain along the wiggly edge of the Starry Night paper. This can be a bit fiddley so wait a few minutes until the glue thickens and starts to go tacky.

4. Cut single rhinestones of the chain (I find using a sharp scalpel works best) and glue onto the centre of the circle pattern on the Christmas tree. (Footnote by Tracy - I cut my chain with scissors then burn the ends)

When dry, mount onto the centre of the card using 3-D foam mounting tape.

Only 3 days left to get 12% off Basic Grey Jovial and LYB Christmas Delight Pattern Papers (excluding die cuts & stickers)

See you tomorrow
