Life's Moments with Kaisercraft 75cent

I couldn't find a backing paper to match what I wanted to achieve with this layout as most of the papers in the Kaisercraft 75cent colllection had too much black in them for my photos so I went about making my own background ...

Starting off with Kraft Cardstock I covered it fully with Weathered Wood Distress Stain and then spray with water

once dry cover 3/4 with Vintage Photo Distress Stain then spray over it with water

lastly, concentrated more around the edges with Tarnished Brass Distress Stain and spray lightly with water

I blotted with a tissue for any areas that need blending or toning down

Then I left it to dry and gave it a spray with Guilded Gold Glimmer Mist

While my back ground was drying ...

I cut out and coloured several butterflies from 75cent Gloss Speciality Paper with Bundled Sage Distress Marker for the wings and Vintage Photo Distress Marker for the body

Cut up several pieces of Kaisercraft 45c Pound squares and colour the edges using Tarnished Brass Distress Stain

Now that my background was dry, I stamped with Walnut Stain and a butterfly stamp

then layered my squares
and a light spray of Guilded Gold Glimmer Mist over my layers

Add a Brown Laughter Charming word, Antique Bronze Heart Charm and Antique Bronze Camera charm to the Twiddleybitz Life's Moments which I heat embossed with Stampendous Aged Enamel Copper

Finished off with adding a few Antique Butterfly Charms, and Filigree Butterflies centred with resin flowers

and ta da one coordinated background to match my photos and pattern paper
