OTP Wardrobe with Graphic 45 and Scrapware

Finally I have finished this wardrobe I started sometime back.
I am really please with the results and just love the new scrapware 3d butterfly.
I gotta get myself some more rock candy (going to have to start up a CAA ... Candy Addictions Anonymous. I know 2 DT members who will be first to sign up!)PML

First I paint the outside with walnut stain distress crackle paint

Covered it with Graphic 45 Le Romantique Loves Labyrinth, once dry sanded the edges and inked them with gold then brown ink

Up close of the top piece (my favourite part) ...

Peach gardenias from the nature pack (matches perfectly with these papers)
White Hydrangeas
our new bronze heart locket charm
Clear buttons topped with pearls
2cm wide cream lace
Handmade flowers with light green rhinestones
Ivory Cream Pearl Beads
and ....

3d scrapware butterfly

First I painted it olive green and waiting patiently for it to dry - dream on!!! I got out the heat gun!
I covered the base of the butterfly with the other side of Graphic 45 Le Romantique Loves Labyrinth.
Using the flower side of the paper I covered the front of the wings.
Sanded all the edges and inked them brown
Attached some lace to the back of the wings using double sided tape (thanks again Julie from down in Tassie for the lace)
Painted over the edges of the lace with cream then again waiting patiently for it to dry (I had to this time damm it, wasn't sure with the heat gun and lace?)
Inked all the edges brown
And finished off the wings with rock candy crackle paint

On the scrapware chipboard key I covered it in gold ink and gee let me guess what did I use on it???? rock candy crackle paint perhaps?
The organza ribbon and canna lily have both been sprayed with Honeydew glimmer mist

Cause it was abit tricky cutting around the door handles as they wouldn't come off I have covered the edges with our light brown pearls.

I inked the Scrapware Audrey Mannequin with gold ink. Made her a skirt with our gold skeleton leaves and covered the top with pattern paper.
Necklace is our brown seed beads and on the edges of her top I used Petal Pink Liquid Pearls

Buzz and Bloom chipboard mirror has been painted with walnut stain distress crackle paint and inside piece painted cream then rock candy crackle paint. (Are we started to see an obsession here?)
Inked with gold and added a few of the light brown pearl
Brown stemmed flowers
Natural skeleton leaves
Brown Organza Ribbon
and our red copper evening dress charm with our red copper jump rings

I made my own flourishes with the pearls (more details of DIY flourishes in another post), and sprayed the white gardenia and canna lillies with Honeydew glimmer mist.

And since you get 2 butterflies in the pack, well the other one was just crying out to be crackled as well LOL. It is for another OTP that I started a few weeks back.

I have used websters pages to cover the base then ....

Painted the wings white

Stamped the flourish piece from kaiser flourish journal stamps with pink stazon ink onto acetate (used the flourish piece left hand side down the bottom)

Cut out the acetate and taped to back of wings.
Then I painted over the edges of the acetate with white paint and crackled with rock candy. Also applied the rock candy on the front of the wings as well. Finishing it off with brown ink.

I am off now, to enjoy the last hour of peace and quiet before the angels come home from school and start fighting!!! Oh the joys of motherhood!!!

Hope you are all having an awesome Thursday
TFL

Yummmm. Lace and pearls, flowers and butterflies... all my favourite things right here. Absolutely GORG, Tracy. yep... we best get started on the CAA meetings. Those jars just don't contain enough to cover everything I own. Can you buy it by the truckload? PML.
